I have been fully and truly enjoying the wand. I showed one of my students the wand in use with a routine involving a spectator, and he was floored! This thing is too much fun to put down!

This looks really interesting. I wonder how good it would look for a close-up performers use.

Thanks Christopher for the kind words! The wand is so much fun to use! I think this is destined to become a classic!
Hey Hay! I have used it in close proximity with a few laymen, and it went over very well. There are some really cool proofs, and showings that look great with it. It definitely can enhance any current close up routine. |

So.... I incorporated the Spongeball Wand for the first time in an actual live situation yesterday for a school carnival. I did three performances, and used the wand in show number two. I was a bit nervous, because, well, I am always a bit nervous, especially when putting something new in the act.
I won't describe the routine here, I am saving that for the dvd coming out on the subject, but I did go through the moves that are done on the promo, plus a few extras that I think are visually pleasing! When the ball first appears behind the kids head the crowd laughed, then it vanished, reappeared, etc. they where blown away. The moves blended nicely, and I feel the wand added a real boost and kick to my routine, which on it's own right, is very strong. The wand gave me a tool to "play ball" so to speak. It offered me time misdirection for the amazing moment to occur in the volunteers hand. To add something completely new to an established, "it has been working great" routine was a bit scary for me, however I can say the addition far exceeded my expectations. The audience was entertained, and mesmerized by the appearances, changes etc. I could see by the look that they where floored. The wand worked wonderfully, smoothly, and totally fit in with the performance. I am now going to incorporate this into every show from here out. More than likely I am going to get a back up so I can have a different color ball, and put it in my other show case as well. This week I wrap up the shooting of my dvd on the sponge ball wand. If you are interested in the project shoot me a pm. Arthur |

I have just now completed the shooting of the "Sponge Ball Wand" dvd. I am in the process of editing, and putting on titles and chapters.
There is just about an hour of instruction on this. I cover color changes, appearances, vanishes, handling and showing the wand, hiding, set up, before show, routine ideas, care and maintenance, visual gags, ideas for clowns, how to practice without a volunteer, and more! I am planning on having these produced in the next few weeks, I am curious, of how many to go to production with. I am planning on selling these for $15.00 each, plus shipping. Let me know if you are interested, I have heard from some of you, and am looking forward to hearing from more of you! You can either post right here, or pm me! Thanks so much! Arthur |

Wanted to chime in here. I started working on a giant 3 shell game and bought the sponge wand to make the pea (green sponge ball) appear and disappear from under the shells ("we put it under here and it jumps over here"). This allows me ample opportunity to load the giant shells with final loads of lemons. I added in Kozmo's color changing sponge ball, sponge ball to rabbit, sponge ball to cube and sponge ball to giant sponge ball in the middle of the routine along with an in the hand's routine. Altogether, this creates a good 5-10 minutes of sponge madness with lots of laughs.

Hey everybody! I have heard from a number of you an interest in the video. I thought I should give an update. I had my video shot, and began the editing process, however as I began reviewing the footage, though it looked pretty good, I was not happy with it, and the way it was going....so. I am redoing it. this is for the better, as I am working with it this whole summer in my "Make A Splash" show, you will reap the benefits of it being worked in the field!
I am including a section on preparing and changing out the balls along with routine ideas I think you will use. Also all the moves that are incredibly stunning! ( I have quite a few new ones since the release!) There are some novelty productions, and applications I think are really cool. Please be patient, I want this to be done right. I am looking at the middle of August, since I am in the middle of a 80 library run this June - July. Thanks again for your patience! Arthur |

I just got a notification from the USPS that mine is being delivered today.
One of the things I want to work on is incorporating the sponge ball wand with the cups and balls using sponge balls. |
