I had tried to market this, but no such luck. Before I go into it, there is a great effect put out by Elmwood Magic called Your Name Here by Adam Rubin:
http://www.elmwoodmagic.com/full/Close-U......__29.htm I wrote Paul Richards over at Elmwood before posting to ask his permission in case he felt it was similar to their marketed effect. Paul felt it was "very different" and gave me the go ahead. I put the method in the " The triple dare! " section of the Café ( you need 50 posts to view ). For exposure reasons, I felt it best placed there. I figure anyone that might want to use it has at least 50 posts. Anyway, back in the early 1990's I came up with an effect after I was asked to wear a name tag during a walk around gig. I had a nice one that I wore, but they wanted me to wear one they were supplying to guests. No argument from me. In a nutshell: I have a name tag on my jacket (or shirt ) that says HELLO and then my name ( just like when you go to an event and they hand out name tags for you to sign your name and stick to your chest ). Like this: http://www.staples.com/Avery-Print-or-Wr......t_404285 They choose a card, sign it, I loose it in the deck and I take my name tag off and turn it over and it's there signed card. They get to keep the card. Quick reset to put the name tag card back on my jacket. You could go a step further and make up tags with ALL your contact info. Restaurants, strolling, anywhere, you can always leave them with a memento they might be more likely to keep than just your business card. Hi.
It sounds like a nice idea for an effect. Are you saying you have made this effect or do you want to be able to perform this? Joel Dickinson.

I've used it since the early 1990's. I posted it ( and the method in the Triple Dare Section ) for anyone to use if they'd care to.

It's just something I came up with after being told I needed to wear a name tag. Nothing earth shattering. If you like doing signed card effects, it might be of interest.
