It's hard for me to know without knowing how the schools operate. At every university I've ever attended and worked at, the professor's offices were "unguarded", meaning you can just go knock on the door. The vast majority (again, in every case of which I have personal knowledge) have office hours posted on their doors. These days those hours are most likely posted on the Internet.

That's certainly the case at CSUF, and likely at UCI as well.

Note that a majority of professors these days are not really teachers, and they loathe their offices because they want to get their research done--which they do in their study at home (or in a laboratory or whatever...just not in their office). So it might be hard to find anyone in their office on some days.

UCI is more of a research university; CSUF is not. In general, the University of California is more research-oriented, the California State University is more classroom-oriented.

Yup...he studied theater, and studied dance.

I think that there's a "she" missing from that sentence.

Used to play a little bridge with (and a lot against) his dad. He was a regular at the bridge club I owned. Also took me to the Magic Castle for the first time.

I didn't realize that Jonathan's father played bridge. I'd have loved to have met him across the table.

Good catch...yes, that's where *she* studied dance. He played a few times a week at the Bridge Center of North Orange County (now known as the Anaheim Bridge Club), and he played well.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Hm.... Hmmmm...

Wait, so, I HAVE heard that about the UC vs. CSU systems before, but in areas like theatre, does "research" mean it's a lot of experimental out there stuff that might be great fun, and personally challenging, but not very helpful outside of the classroom?
Trapeze above the Grand Canyon. Be impressed.

HELP ME!!!!

I got accepted to both schools, and I have no idea how to decide, or what to look for, or anything. I had no idea this would happen.

So, you'll let us know when you decide, yes?
