I've got this fun little "Houdini Disk" trick:
http://madhattermagicshop.com/magicshop/......_id=7385 ...but I want to be able to do it with coins. I feel that real coins and a nice brass box would appear more substantial, and using something like two English pennies for the "guards", and a Kennedy half as the American "Houdini", would sell the story better. Does anybody make something like this? I think I can assemble the necessary parts using standard gaffs, except there might be trouble locating what would essentially be a "reverse" S&S set that would (mostly) self n***, and (ideally) hold up to at least cursory examination? Any ideas / comments? |

It has already been done in coins by Eddie Gibson. It is called the Copper Sandwich and was available in English or U.S. Coins.

I'd describe it generically as clearly/visibly/fairly placing three coins in an okito box which is then closed. The top of the box is given a magical tap, and one of the coins "falls out" through the solid bottom of the box. When the box is opened, there are only two coins found inside. |
