Well I just wanted to ask how many methods are there to solve the cube and what are the differences between them?
I myself, have started with the Lars Petrus method a while back after reading a thread about it here. In this thread it was compared to just one other method (don't remember which), so I thought there were only a few. After a long while of not touching the cube, I wanted to refresh my LP method (went ok) and in doing so I've, somehow, also found out about all these other methods which claim to be easier then the LP. I remember having problems with some of the instructions on the LP site, and even now there are a few things I don't fully understand about it. So, I hear the LP method is considerd to be "advanced" - is it true? what are the others methods based on and how are they easier (if at all)? and again - what are the differences between the methods? Philemon is referring to the Enchanted Cube, where you toss a scrambled cube into the air, and it comes down solved.

If you are still looking, I use the CFOP method it has the potential to get your time down to under 15 seconds, though I am not quite there yet. I found it in a book called speedsolving the cube by Dan Harris, which I originally bought because I threw the instructions to my 4x4 cube away. It's a wonderful book. Check it out.
