I was traveling soon and was wondering what the deal was with packing clubs in your checked bag. They look odd.

I have taken a magic bag, a juggling ball bag, and a set of clubs in my checked luggage to Mexico with me over a dozen times, and I never had a problem. I got patted down a couple of times, but they never questioned my checked bags.

As long as you aren't carrying it in hand luggage, it should be fine... juggling knives and flash paper are a step too far, I would think.

Certainly carrying clubs in your checked baggage should present no trouble at all.

I carry on my suitcase prop case all the time. There is no pyro in it. I have been pulled aside and had it searched because of the unique things inside. However once I explain I am an enteratiner and explain that these are some of the tools of my trade, they understand.

In Memphis they saw my brass Viking Magic Vanishing Lifesaver trick on the X-Ray and specifically searched my case for it (although I didn't know that at the time). I showed the guy what it was and yes, how it worked and while putting it all back together explained that I had just told him a secret of magic due to his position of responsibility and hoped that he would respect my request that he not tell anyone how it was done. He then held it up so his supervisor could see that he found it and hollered, "It's OK.", smiled, and handed it back.

Know too that some airports are 'stricter' than others. Things and weights of things at one airport may be a 'problem' at others.

I suggest that you pack a copy of your promo material in your bag for an instant explination of what you are.

Do you wear your captain Mike hat when you travel too. Great minds work in similar directions.

Checked luggage is not a problem. Clubs are no problem at all. Fire torches should be ok if they are dry and don't smell too much. Burn them off and wrap them really well in old towels then plastic bags. I've never had a problem with juggling knives either.
My gear is always in flight cases and just in case I put the torches etc near the bottom with lots of other equipment on top. They rarely open them and check. Obviously if you ask the airline directly they may say otherwise.
Chainsaws and anything that has had petrol or gasoline in it are a problem. You can't fly with them.
I had trouble with a samaraii sword flying into Bahrain recently, but that wasn't the airlines. I've flown with it loads with no trouble. The Bahrain customs wouldn't let me take it into the country, they kept it and I had to collect it again on my way home.

I travel every week on National/International flights and clubs, fire torches, axes, knives are NO problem. It's the bloody juggling balls that are! Make sure you have balls filled with plastic metal pellets and NOT bird seed, millet! This is the biggest problem I had when I started as the seed can carry germs etc!

Bird seed? That's brillient!

I can see it now:

"Juggler hi-jacks plane using balls filled with seed! Luckily a team of swallows were flying south for the winter and ate the seed averting disaster."

Is the rest of the world tight about bird seed or is it just Australia?
