I believe that you are talking about Café Rustico.

Went to both Tannens and Fantasma while in NYC. Have to say I had a better response from the folks in Tannens than the other one. When I went to Fantamsa I was looking around for 15 min then turned to the guy behind the counter and asked for some help he looked at me like I was nuts. So I left and went to Tannens and got what I needed quickly.

When I went to Fantasma, the gbtc was very helpful and entertaining.
I second reccomendations for Monday Night Magic. Fun night and as Al mentions some cracking restaurants nearby, too. |

Are you testing me? My last two post tell you both where to go, and when to go, which is the answer to your last three posts. I hope that I have finally made myself clear.

Dozens of museums (Literally) in N.Y.C. do a search and find the ones that suit your likes.

My apologies Al. I get confused easily.
Your post did answer my question. When I asked about time and place, you mentioned Jonathon's post which did in fact have a time and place... but (as easily as I get confused) he didn't mention what the time and place he was posting referred to, so I got lost. Thanks for clearing it up.

Anyone can make a mistake, but I thought that you were just playing with my head.

Just got back from New York and had the same experience. No one at Fantasma ever said a word to me (and there was no one else in the store). I thought it was really weird. The guys at Tannen's were friendly and helpful. The store doesn't seem as "magical" as it did in the 80's, but maybe I'm just older.
