Amazing
That Mac King trick has never been filmed before, he has never published, and it has only been described to me.

That would be great fun to watch Mickey fry them.
There's a danger they might kidnap him to a secret laboratory for experiments. Smile

Looy Simonoff's Earth Shoes? That's not Mac's.

I think this video is great though... the science behind misdirection. I love how we've known something for years that neurologists didn't Smile

Great stuff. A lot of this I knew, some of it I didn't.

Its why I toyed with the idea of going into Neuro-science in college. The way our brains assemble fragmentary and disjoint information into something that seems to us to be a coherent picture of the world has always totally fascinated me.

I was talking about the Mac King rope trick at the beginning of the video, not the stupid old rock trick.

On similar PBS show it was noted that spectators were less likely to be deceived by a cups and balls routine, by Teller, if Teller's face was blocked.

Reminded me of the adage, "look where you want the spectator to look". If they can't see your face, you loose some of the effect.

Or, if you want them to look at you, look at them.

I've heard you refer to this trick before, so what else have you heard describe about this cut and restored rope?
