In 1973 or 74 I studied Transcendental Meditation in Houston with Doug Henning. I had dinner with him every night after the clinic. He used a Gozinta Box to illustrate some of the points of TM which I actually found to be pretty silly.
I always liked him a lot after that and hated that he had to die so young. I'd love to have one of his posters for my shop. Maybe Ill be able to afford one. C U there.

Great story , that would have been an honor .
The posters are $35 , and that was the price set by Lee Jacobs in the 90's . These posters are from 1976 and are in mint condition. I also have the magicians print drawn by T. Anthony Dunn , only 200 were made and they are $50 . Look forward to the weekend , it's gonna be a GREAT time !

---- Missing announcement! ----
Apparently we did not print a notice that we do allow exhibits of magic props that are not for sale too! Collectors and prop builders can have spaces at the Flea Market too. We do need to know to reserve you a space. (The arena is only 1/2 acre but there is plenty of other space we can use if we exceed arena space.) At the open mic sessions, you may even choose to demo a prop. http://magicvalleymagic.com/ (Thank you, Tabman.) best map: http://tinyurl.com/2fgdsqz (Thank you, ClintonMagus.) Bob, Lucy and the live unicorns (Star Dancer, Star Duster and Star Drifter) PS --- For you folks not from Dixie, the food vendors also offer Iced Tea. The weather forecast is for beautiful sunny weather. You'll be glad cold drinks are available. Should we have boiled peanuts for the brave? Water melon? The peaches are about over. |

I was hoping to bring home some peaches, but I was afraid I was too late...

OK, the website has been updated to reflect this latest information for attendees who are not participating in this thread.
Maybe an updated schedule would be in order. Do we have room for a few more??? I'll post this information over at Genii. http://magicvalleymagic.com

Room for more?
We have acres! Theater seating may be in shifts, but what's new? Come do magic! Buy, sell, trade, teach, show, learn, watch, perform or just shoot the bull. There should also be plenty of food and things to do. The weather should be beautiful. Wear comfortable cloths, walking shoes and you may want a cap or hat for the sun. Bring your camera and gather evidence! LOL Remember that on a ranch you don't smoke in buildings or leave gates opened or closed differently from how you found them. Lots of animals live here (horses, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, cats, etc.) please respect their space. Under most circumstances, they don't eat magicians and they probably shouldn't have whatever you're eating either. (Unfortunately, we do have some animals that'll want to show you a trick too. Don't you just hate competition!) Yep! Your cell phone reception here should be very good. (You may want to cut it off anyway for your privacy. Being out in the country is a good excuse!) Get lost or need information? Ask a Clown! They are here to help you keep your sense of humor and have fun. We're lookin' for you. Things start about 3PM Friday (It's OK to be early.) The Flea Market opens at 8AM Saturday. After the Friday night show there is a reception. After the Saturday night show you are on your own. The Office is in the red barn. Please enter by the deck facing the arena. Your guests are welcome and your kids are your responsibility. Hope you have as much fun as they do! Lots of folks have worked hard to make this happen. Please thank them when you recognize them. Please pitch in when you can. (Half the price of admission goes to payroll.) We're not the government. We need your help to stay on budget. Bob and Lucy |

I actually have someone bringing one that I am buying. (well the gimmick anyway)

As a reminder we still need someone to run sound for the Friday night show.
I have set everything up, ready to go. There are two wireless mics ( 1 Countryman Ear mic and 1 Handheld - UHF Multi-frequency) + 1 hardwired mic. The sound is so good that a monitor speaker was not needed. Again, I ask that anyone that uses music, that it be on CD with only one track on the the CD (this makes it easier so that no one has to search for a track not at the first of the CD, you would be surprised how many times it can be mixed up and the wrong track played). If you have your own music cue system make sure you have a 1/4" adaptor for mixer input. If your system is computer operated, please bring and use your laptop and all necessary interface cords. It is a good idea that the computer has a two prong plug instead of a three prong. Sometimes the ground on the three prong will induce a 60 cycle hum over the speakers, not a desired effect. The mixer is a 16 channel mixer and only 4 inputs are being used, unless you have your own music cue system. Plenty of spare inputs. With all the recording artist that are in attendance there should be someone who is willing to step up! The pay is great! Only need a volunteer! Some one asked if I have a handheld wireless mic holder that goes around the neck? No I do not. He was looking for something like this one from Mallory Magic. http://www.malloymodernmagic.com/freedom.htm The one from Mallory allows to to hold the mic in your hand when needed, and place it in the holder while you move around. One advantage this gives you complete control of the mic, so you can control when you want a spectator to speaker into the mic. I will have to order one after this event. If you have one or something like it please bring it. NO lapel mic provided as risk of feedback is terrible and not worth the trouble. Bob, also asked if anyone has a battery power all in one system that can be used outside on the outdoor stage, it would be appreciated. I know you musicians have a system like the one needed. Due to the number of events happening in the Bunny Heart theater I will not be able to use my outdoor system as all of the wireless Mics are being used in the indoor theater. ( there are on the same frequency range so that I can have common wireless mics to be used on either system).
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

The map is slightly off. Continued just a few hundred feet more and you will see the gate. Look at the map and you will see some property that has a lake shown off to the to the right. The gate will be the first thing that you see.
Again as Bob said follow the signs.
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.
