Greetings everyone, I'm new to the forums here. This place is a bit difficult to navigate with a forum for just about every possible subject it seems. However I think I identify myself the most with the performance of Bizarre, Geek, and Freak so alas, Here I am.
Pleasure to meet everyone here. |

Hey William. Be advised though that Freak & geek is another category relating to sideshows etc. Bizarre Magic is kind of a misnomer for spooky and ghosty story telling type magic & mental.
Welcome aboard!

Thanks Doug for the clarification! Forgive me for making it seem that I was grouping Freak into Bizarre. That was sloppy on my part.
I normally do Freak and Geek but I've been slowly branching out into Bizarre. I'm really loving the theater of story telling, interesting props, and the spooky atmosphere that used to captivate my imagination as a youth. It's a pleasure to be here. |

William -- BEWARE!
You are about to find yourself amidst some of the most creative, dramatically oriented, bizarre and opinionated pros and novices in the magic world. One benefit of the Café is that experienced folks and complete novices can share wisdom, words, opinions and ideas freely. NOTE - however -- secrets are discussed way at the bottom in the dungeon where it take 50 meaningful posts in these other forums to gain admittance. There, we are even more opinionated --- but always civil in tone (lol.) I am a convert from the world of big illusions -- where I fondly remember big audiences, applause and nice checks. Now I strive for dramatic effect, striking memory of the audience and "just" a living. I also strive to keep "true believers" and performers in very separate categories -- and realize that sometimes hobbyists generate better routines and ideas than pros -- and need to be heard.

Amazing. Perhaps then we can exchange some ideas once I've become a little more established here. I think for now a proper introduction, and a polite welcome will do.
I think this is probably the best place for me, in this board. I certainly identify with the creativity and spookyness you speak of. |

Doug,
"William Draven" is a stage name, but it's what I am going by, and what I am in the process of branding at the moment. So I'll be happy to go by that here. Feel free to call me Will though if you prefer a more casual approach. Thank you for the kind welcome. I also must say I like the steam punk almost look you have going for you Doug. Very "old school" If I may say. |

I was around way before school...hell, I was around before rope and I definately was a punk before Steam.
The name Draven is a very cool moniker for this line of work.

I always thought Bizarre Magick was performed by Freaks and Geeks, but then, I lead a very sheltered life, so what do I know? Welcome Draven. Beware, beware, beware and all that stuff.

Well, New Jersey...there IS a certain type of 'Geek' that for sure practices Bizarre Magic but they chew pencils rather than rats.
