I recently purchased a brass rope gimmick, which although a cheap Indian made one, works very well. The only problem is once it's installed, it creates quite a bulge in my rope, which I'd prefer to avoid.
Could someone recommend either a thicker size of rope, or better yet, a gimmick small enough to easily fit inside the rope I'm using? I'm currently using 10mm stage size ( http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/elite-stag......797.html ) although when I measured it, it seemed to be slightly thinner than that. Posted: May 26, 2010 2:58pm I just came across a post saying that the rope from Denny and Lee's is notable good, and I see he sells it in 1" thickness, so I might order some of that. |

Sounds like the Delben rope gimmick, and you would need a hollow core 10mm rope or better. Synthetic $10, cotton $20
