Don Viano who created "Houdini Lives Again" died in his sleep last night. No other details are presently available. Those who knew Don will miss him. Those who did not know Don should buy the book. He was an inspiration to all he met.

This is very sad news indeed, I was thinking he'd out live all of us. I had many great time with Rich and Viano over the past few years, sorry to say I've not seen either since '05.

Tony has done a lot with Manzini in the past, is that who you are thinking of Ken?

A year and a half ago, I assisted Don with a show. It was his first performance in 20 years and the only time I ever performed with him. He did ropes, chains, handcuffs, and Strait Jacket. He got a standing O. Don always refered to it as a Standing Ovulation. The last time I spoke with him, we were talking about him doing another performance. He went to bed thinking of his next show and did not wake up.

My sons comments were that Don did so many crazy-assed, death-defying stunts that the only way the Reaper could get him was to sneak up on him while he slept.

I recently came across a printed copy of VIVA VIANO! THE AMAZING LIFE AND ADVENTURES OF "THE GREAT VIANO! It is a tribute and bio to Don Viano and appars to be a printed and spiral wire bound copy of an electronic file. It does not have anything approaching a traditional title page with author, date, etc. Can anyone identify the author ot this and the date of publication and where the file resides? There are a couple of internal clues, but I can't determine the authorship for sure. Thanks for any help. - Dan
