So, what does everyone think, game by game?
South Africa really poor in the first half, Mexico were all over them. Great decision for the Mexican goal ruled out for offside. Unbelievable atmosphere when the SA goal went in, best opening goal ever? Mexico got a deserved draw in the end, not a bad start to the tournament. Bring it on! (And let's hope Forlan scores with his hand against France, karma and all that!)

Delighted Uruguay got the draw. They defended pretty well and worked hard off the ball. Attacking wise they did'nt offer much but thought Forlan had few nice touches and had 2 half chances but didn't get much supply.
Me being irish jumped out of my seat when I saw Henry looking for a penalty claiming handball... Draw fair result and I'd say france will top the group with Uruguay in second, though could finish very tight.I don't think any team in the group will make it into last eight. |

Tomorrow is the game, Argentina and Nigeria, Argentina will finally play with 3 forwards, so the game should be very entertaining.

Lemme see...I've been to both countries and the Argentinians were much nicer than the Nigerians so I shall support Argentina in this battle!

I'm all for Argentina myself, would love to see Messi own this World Cup. Sadly, I don't see it happening, although I hope I'm wrong. At Barcelona, the whole team is designed around him and is finely tuned to allow him to do his thing. Unfortunately, for Argentina he has not produced his best, in my opinion as a result of having a headless chicken for a manager. I mean Maradona selected over 100 players in the qualifiers. This is not conducive to producing a finely tuned team where everyone knows exactly what they are doing and how it relates to what each of their teammates is doing at the same time. I hope I'm wrong, as Messi really is poetry in action. My 2c

Argentina Nigeria, first half 1-0, Messi unstoppable, Higuain missed 2 easy goals. Argentina needs to control de middle a little bit more.

South Korea vs Greece.
Well, at least there was a winner! In fact, Sth Korea looked pretty tidy, organised, although Greece were awful. Don't know how they qualified!

Yes, some flashes of brilliance from Messi, he really is on another level. Still stand by what I said before, the team is not designed to get the best out of him, time will tell how they do. Nigeria didn't show much going forward, so the Argentinian defense didn't need to be very good.

Well played USA. Wish I could say the same for England.
