I am new to escapes. I recently started using thumbcuffs during my restaurant magic. It has gone over pretty well. I have been working on escaping from handcuffs, not quite ready yet. Does anyone use handcuffs in their restaurant work?
What about handcuffs and thumbcuffs together? Thanks.

I used to use my sj when I was a bartender. At certain points in the evening everyone would be sorted for a drink so I'd do the sj then for the whole crowd. You could do this in the restaurant too.

Thumbcuffs and handcuffs go very well together.

You might also want to check out a thumbtie routine. I like Losander's Chain Breaker.

Even the Siberian Chain Escape would work but IMO the best as far as weight/size is either Thumcuffs Thumb Stocks or maybe a thumb tie.... You mat change your mind after having your circulation cut off 15 times in a row.

Back to you Mick.

We must be able to find a job for you, Ros!

I only mentioned "over to you Jay" because I know Jay has a really good thumb cuff routine.

I'm quite good at sandwiches and if tea boy is still available I nominate Dave. He way struggle with wendy houses and thumb cuffs but he don't half make a lovely brew.

Magicbob has a little playing card "escape" illusion that might be just the thing. It's called "In Over His Head" from Book 2 and uses one of the Kings to represent "Houdini." The card has a hole in the center and is bolted between two indifferent cards before making his escape and leaving everything to be examined (or if you don't mind making these up, you can even give it away as a souvenir, knowing they won't be able to duplicate the escape). One of his variations has "Houdini" making his escape under water, but I'll leave that one for those who buy the e-Book to discover.

You should also check out Magicbob's Book 1 which has another escape related card illusion called "Harry and Bess" themed around the metamorphosis. It's a little more complicated than the previous trick and you won't want to give this one away as a souvenir, but it's quite spectacular as an escape in miniature.

Smile Hamburger ate.

Because these cuffs are not tight, the effect is not painful after several tables/a few hours work.
