I'd like to extend my repertoire from card tricks and start to include a few other bits, so was looking into learning the bill switch.
So after checking out LOTS od dvds that teach it, I was wondering what peoples favourite resource for learning the bill switch was. |

I use the M. Ammar's handling. Published in his book "the magic of M. Ammar"
Sankey have a DVD on the bill switch with some nice ideas. Anyway I think that the change from 1$ to 100$ cannot be beaten. Juan pablo's bill switch is very visual but the angles are not too good |

There is a great book out called Switch-Unfolding the $100 bill change by John lovick
If you want the best resource then this in my opinion is it. |

Once you learn the trick, and if you are like me (don't have a couple extra $100 bills laying around), you can get the play money from the toy isle or Monopoly money. I have been doing good with it and it has an added bonus that you can let the kids keep it as a souvenir if you do kiddie shows.

Once you get the bill switch down the mismade version is also good.

I use Bill switch also from Michael Ammar
It plays visually so strong I also use it at festivals etc & corporate gigs & have specially cut & pre folded paper the same size as our $20 note which is bright green or $10 which is bright blue The visual transformation from paper to coloured note I find is stronger with fabulous reactions in the corporate world I work in performing Its worth learning and I use it in every parlour or close up show..... Have Fun |

I've played with the Bill Switch for a while now and I really like the magic of it but for some reason the method using TT seem cumbersome to me. Now I've played with some good ones like Vizi-Bill, Money Morph and there's even a nice one on YouTube explained, all pretty much go the same way as to the TT but I get into them and then they lose me. Is there a Bill Switch that doesn't use a TT that works really well and is amazing, deeceptive, etc.? Just asking. I hear Ammars is pretty good but not sure if it uses a TT.

Hey Marion!
Two tipless switches: There is a free tutorial by Arthur Tivoli on his website here: http://arthur.tivoli.free.fr/ John Lovick, author of the book dedicated to bill switches performs and teaches a great switch on the excellent Reel Magic - episode 1 Best Charlie |

Hey thanks Charlie, I will certainly check these out. I've heard great things about Tivoli but didn't know he had a tipless Bill Switch too. What a great Café.

About ten years ago I had a video of Michael Ammar teaching this one effect but have managed to lose it. Can anyone remind me of the name of it and let me know if it is available now on DVD?
Many thanks. Paul Mc.

Mb217 -- Johnny Paul and Jim Ryan, both Chicago bar magicians did GREAT SWITCHES without any gimmicks. The Kowslowski #100 switch, with TT also describes a handling without the TT ... this is a beauty. Jay Marshall used it and it is as good as any. It's all timing, acting, selling.
