Hello all,
During the last couple of years I've bought multiple mindpower decks. The deck is a thing of beauty, but with all three I've owned I had the same problem: The cards don't fan nicely (like a regular deck of bikes). The cards fan in blocks and it doesn't make a nice display. I've heard that a collegue of mine had the same problem with two different mind power decks. Is there any way to overcome this problem? Would fanning powder work (I'm not familair with this product)? Thanks! Simon |

Simon, I didn't make this experience, but fanning powder would help for sure. Jan

Jan is right on the money here. I similarly have not had fanning problems with my MPD but fanning powder will help to ensure that they fan evenly and smoothly. If you've never used fanning powder before let me provide you a warning. Put the deck in a plastic zipper bag and put the TINIEST amount of fanning powder into the bag as well. Then shake. If you put too much the cards will get gummy with powder.
Also keep in mind that the fanning powder does not work by decreasing friction on the cards, rather it works by increasing friction on the cards (slightly) so that all of the cards will fan evenly. You'll notice this the first time you try to fan them after applying the FP. You'll need to apply slightly more pressure to get them to fan, but they will fan very evenly.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Strange that nobody had this problem. I've had it with every MPD I owned. Do you decks fan like a regular deck cards (without any problems)? Hopefully the fanning powder will take away this problem. Best Simon |

Simon,
I had the same problem with my MPD, as well as my UMD. I haven't tried the fanning powder yet - as I wanted to test with a normal deck first. Cheers Andrew |

Simon - I've had the same problems with the MPD.
Fanning powder has reduced this problem somewhat and they ribbon spread more evenly now, though they don't feel like a regular bike.
