WOW looks better than Hawk I think. It looks more practical from the demo.

Never mind, I didn't realize you needed to go through most of the checkout for the discount to be applied. Anyway, I bought this and Ghost Tag for $30!

Peter's a clever fellow. I think his Outcased looked a bit more magical as the signed card and entire deck are placed into the card box:

"the signed card is lost in the centre of any deck. The deck is then placed back inside its case. A rubber band is wrapped around the case width wise. Just a shake and the SIGNED card VISUALLY leaps outside the box".

I think that 'Highflyer' is completely different. Theres no force with Highflyer, The box doesn't need to be involved, And the card floats off the deck at the end. The only similarity is the sudden appearance of the card. But even that happens in two different contexts between the two effects.

Outcased is great but I don't think there is enough of a similarity to compare the two effects.

Yeah I couldn't believe the deal that they are running on it. Ghost tag usually goes for about $50.00 on its own.

I want to put my order in but I'm wondering how practical is Highflyer? I just don't want to buy something that eventually I won't be able to use it much (Gecko is my biggest sin)

Highflyer looks really good.
Seems to work the same way as stickman sam by Mark Mason but High Flyer is routined better in my opinion.

Not sure. The ad copy doesn't say anything about it and not knowing what the gimmick is I wouldn't want to speculate.

I knew I had seen a video of him doing this somewhere before. This video is from back in 2007. So its taken him a while to release it. Who knows how long hes been doing it.

Wow, what a great thread! I'm glad to see so much interest in this effect! I spoke with Peter yesterday and these have officially shipped out to us! So far, we're looking at a release date of around July 20th, give or take a day or so to fully receive these into our inventory. So for those of you who preordered this, it won't be long before we start shipping. For those of you who haven't preordered it, we have lowered the price 17% just until they arrive. Once they come in and are no longer a preorder item, it will go back to normal price, so do take advantage of it.

With the recent success of The Hawk (and it's current unavailability), HighFlyer is filling in the gap (and in some cases, getting better initial reviews from some of you, I see!).

I personally have always been a sucker for a good ACR, and anything that can potentially ADD to the overall effect is worth picking up, IMO. It gives you more tools at your disposal to amaze your audience with how the card can rise to the top of the deck. And the levitation at the end (in the spectators hands) solidies the fact that the card really does have the power to magically RISE!

Giving the levitating card away as a souvenier is also a nice touch.
