I'm looking at getting my first coin in bottle effect & would like to know which you think is best. I'm really liking the look of Abyss but is there anything better out there?

John Carney does excellent work with everything
I've seen him do coin in bottle and it's amazing

It's rare that I recommended a DVD but

The Coin in Bottle from Nicholas Einhorn is great and well thought out. You can get it here:

Michael Ammar has a nice version. "The Magic of Michael Ammar" has other great stuff as well.

I agree with Doug. I have used Ammar's coin in bottle for years. All though not exactly for beginners as there is some t***t work involved. I love it because it is so clean. Especially at the end.

If you are looking for various methods there is a coin in the bottle DVD from worlds greatest magic by A-1. Which shows different performers and methods.

I've spent the last hour reading reviews & now I'm totally stumped as to which effect to get. Factory Sealed looks amazing. But am I right in thinking that the coin used can fit through the top? With Abyss, the coin is too big to get in the bottle yeah?
I think I've narrowed it down to these two. Any comments on how they compare would be most welcome.

Richard Osterlinds Coin in bottle is one of my favorites. It uses a glass coke bottle and the coin goes in signed. You end clean but the set up is kinda a pain and difficult. Though I think the effect is worth the effort.

Richard Osterlind's marked Coin in a Bottle can be found on RICHARD OSTERLIND'S MIND MYSTERIES VOLUMNE 4 DVD. It looks terrific although there is some prep work as Dark Kard noted.

Factory Sealed is very nice and uses a principal seldom used in magic.

John Bannon's routine from Impossibilia is also very good.

Anybody heard of Sealed In by Alex Ward? This an okay effect? Also, Im looking for a coin in bottle (I own PK ring and many folding coins) that ends super clean (both bottle and coin examinable). Any meet these criteria?

Thanks

Well, for me, that certainly wasn't very inspirational. I didn't see anything in the video that I wasn't already doing Smile
