A very personable busker was doing the Cups & Balls on the waterfront during Toronto’s recent Tall Ship Festival.
His routine was under three minutes and used some of the familiar Gazzo elements. His final load sequence was: 3 full-scale baseballs. 3 Oranges. 3 Oranges. 1 squash (from his hat). 10 final loads. Excluding sponge loads, do you know of any routines that “take the record” in the final loads numbers game?

Pennies and small crystal fragments are high on the numbers metric.
What about larger loads? Quote:

I was hired once to do a pitch for the City of Birmingham, and in particular, the Birmingham Barons, the local minor league baseball team. I did a platform chop cup routine that concluded with 2 baseballs from the cup in the usual manner (nothing unusual so far...).
Then... while holding the mouth down cup above the table the entire time, another baseball slowly appeared coming from the cup. When the ball seemed to fill the cup, it fell like a water drop from a slow-leaking faucet. This was followed by another, and another, etc., until six more balls had dropped very visibly from the cup onto the table (8 total). I'd switched the cup for a gimmick I'd made that was a pretty strange self-loading cup that nicely held six real baseballs. Completely impractical for most performance use, but for this gig, it worked like a champ! Probably not close enough to be a record, but maybe a contender for quantity from a single cup!

Tarbell had a great cups and balls routine where he used flower pots and had a huge load of oranges. Check it out in the classic tarbell course of magic.
I hope this helps

I believe Tarbell only produced about 4 or 5 oranges. I have his cups.
I did a cup and ball routine once in which I produced 12 final loads.

Does anyone have knowledge of a Cups routine that uses pebbles with a final load of either "earth" or sand?

For what it is worth, it was done standing, not sitting, and my chop cup is an original Don Alan cup from Rings N Things, large enough to hold one baseball (at a time).

Just like Bill... I used to end with 12 final loads. It later diminished to 10... and in last 5 years it has gone down to 7 loads which includes a shot glass with liquid, not to mention the solid cup kicker and depending on the performing situation... the liquid refill from one of the cups . Today, I seem to enjoy just 4 final loads. I found that three is enough and the 4th is just an extra booster. I usually leave it in the cup. The grabbers gets the biggest shock. I also enjoy pretending that there is someone in the audience who wants another lemon after my basic final 3. I do this as I am apparently clearing my table. I allow the loaded cup to be handled last.
