I missed all of you guys, Al. I have been busy working hard on getting my website to the front page from all the advice you guys have given to me. Now it is the first one on the first page of all three major search engines when searching "Detroit Magician". All of your support helped me a lot. http://www.detroitmichiganmagician.com

I have also been busy getting more shows. The economy is still slow, but I get more calls from the SEO tips you have given to me.

The last reason I have been gone is because I have decided to become a clown too. Following is an one minute link to how I almost broke my neck by being a clown at the end of the video: http://www.youtube.com/user/Dynamikex#p/a/u/0/Nr7MlWQFDSA

I have also been putting more time in with Face Book to improve my marketing. I want to improve it by learning about Twitter too.

I can recommend the book, Twitter Power 2.0. It is loaded with rock-solid advice for using twitter, as well as building your following.

I just started "tweeting" very recently and it's a kick to watch new followers climb on board every day.

Best of luck.

I have been in the top ten on my search engine listing since 1998, and it does my heart good to see that I've helped you get your SEO on track.

Amazon lists a few Facebook titles, but I haven't read them yet.

But the promising looking ones are:

Facebook Marketing by Justin Levy and The Facebook Era by Clara Shih

I'm thinking about getting Justin Levy's book, so I'll let you know what I think.

Al, if it was not for you, I would be homeless right now. I want to thank you forever, but forever isn't long enough.

I took a good look at your web site, and it is a great one. I hate back drops, but yours really sells your services. I also love the fact that you work from one case on a stand. Now all that you have to do is to buy some colorful costumes. LOL

LOL. That's a good one, Al. Before I buy each piece of clothing I always ask myself, "What will Al do?"

If you want to see some networking / business results from twitter, you might consider seeking out business people and other people from your area that are on twitter.

If you are just using it for socializing, then it makes sense to seek out fellow magicians.

If you are selling products to other magicians, then it makes sense to seek out fellow magicians.

I'm not saying that people have to use twitter, facebook, etc. for business only. What I am saying is that people should think about their purpose for participating in them.

I read an interesting article that people who use
social media to gain fans tend to loose them because
they are more like spammers.

so becareful.

if you are trying to gain followers because you having
some unique perspective over being viral and spammy then
you'll gain them.

no one wants to read your constant content to buy and
book.

We send out tweets both via our blog and our facebook updates . . . they turn in to tweets and so we don't actually have to follow twitter too . . . facebook is where we spend most of our updating time these days . . .
