The Good Magician would transform something or someone from ugly to beautiful. The Evil Magician on the other hand would do the contrary. The question is what sort of magician are you? Or do you just do magic willy nilly?

I guess everyone resorts to it at some time or another, but I don't like to do real magic at all. It seems like cheating somehow. Only if I really lose my break, or something like that...

I'm a big fan of the willy nilly philosophy of magic.

No not real.
It seems to me; The nature or character of the magic effect itself tends to be good rather than evil. Or least not have an unhappy ending; where something or someone is simply destroyed or whatever as if by magic. And if the character of the magic is all good then isn’t it boring? Interesting characters are not all good or all evil. If a trick goes wrong are we not allowed to lose our temper and turn the prop into a frog? Wouldn’t that be more interesting than saying sorry?

Have you actually counted all the frogs in your neighborhood? Have you considered how many would not be there if you had not gotten angry?

This is an interesting concept, but I interpret the good magician vs. the evil magician differently.
The evil magician fulfills the wishes of the spectator literally, knowing full well that the spectator has not thought out the consequences of his wish. The good magician fulfills the wishes of the spectator the way the spectator thinks he has proposed the wish. Example -- The evil magician is asked for a sausage. He gives the wisher a sausage, but it is attached to the wisher's nose. The good magician provides the sausage on a dish, with bread or toast and eggs. But the most evil of all magicians is the corrupter. The corrupter takes away the purity and innocence of a child. He gives the child fleeting pleasure in exchange for the child's soul.

There is a saying in French which probably has its counterpart in English which says: "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
I don't think an evil or a good magician has, at least primarily, anything to do with the intent of the magician but rather with the kind of magic he uses. I understand white magic as only done in harmony with the universe and black magic as used regarless of its chaotic results. To answer such narrative questions, I think performers would benefit from reading a lot of fiction where authors have investigated this issue. A solid philosophical point of view is also, in my opinion, required to create a consistent show. It at least makes the nature of magic cristal clear to the performer. Unless it's a comedy show, of course.

Ye shale know them by their fruit. If a magician does magic that bears good things then he is a good magician. Can you name an effect that we do that bears an evil result? How come we have no effect that turns wine into vinegar? All the effects we have to chose from are designed for the good magician. Where is the book of evil magic? You are all goody goody two shoe magicians. Name an evil magician.
