Before I get replies like DO A SEARCH let me just say I have and question hasnt been answered, I have Heiny, Hundy and Prophet. They all have there ups and downs that I like ans dislike. My question is part of my scrip and patter is that my now (ex) wife bought me a money clip that had a $100 bill emblem on it, but it cost her $95 dollars, so I am left with it these five bucks to carry in the clip, not much of a baller huh, well when she wasnt around and I needed extrat cash I found that the clip was magical. as long as I carry the money in the clip just by couting it all I have to do is (SWOOSH) and they became five $20 dollar bills. However I couldn't let her know that because we would spend all our time in the mall in stores like forever 21, YEAH SHE IS ALMOST THIRTY AND IM THE DREAMER!!! so when she was around I would always count the five $20's before she see's me and (SWOOSH) back to ones fold them in half and leave them in my Clip inside my wallet.
Ok that's my patter my question is I always carry my clip with the bill inside my wallet. I notice that with Extreme 2.0 the bills are always crisp. Will carring them in my clip in my wallet damage the gimmick? I ask this becuase I attened a lecture where a magicians gimmick failed to do its move when it needed too and made the effect less strong.... BEfore I look to buy I was wondering if this would be an issue?

Hi Paisa,
I'm english and carry the Extreme Burn original ie 5 x £20 notes in a money clip and it doesn't have any affect on my turning paper into money. I would assume that Extreme Burn 2.0 would also be OK in a money clip. Michael J |

I have Eb1 and I don't see how a clip could damage it, I think you should be fine

Hi Boydy,
I use the IBM Ring 25 magazine paper inside the cover. Don't tell IBM Any type paper of the same thickness will work OK. Any magazine cover especially the shiny ones don't work very well for me. Also any shiny inside paper doesn't work well either. Try it with a matt type paper. It should work. Hope this helps Any further problems, feel free to PM me. Kind Regards Mike |

I'm using magazine clippings and find it works great. For the gimmick I use the cover/thicker stock. The other clippings are just from thinner stock inside copy of magazines. Thus, it is a thinner setup than bills to bills and I carry it inside my wallet.

Very nice trick but difficult to do with European currencies as money have different colours here.

Again iluzjonista, not difficult at all. In fact when I saw this very effect about a month ago now, my buddy TC ryder here on the Café showed me a stack of $20s and instantly turned them into a set of foreign bills (various European denominations). The color of it all was astounding and is a very effective way to present the trick...Absolutely amazing!
Oh and Welcome to the Café.

I'll be using mine in Europe and will use magazine clippings. In fact, I already am using clippings to rupees. The only part that really needs to be near perfect is the gimmick. Other than that I can cut imperfect sizes and it flies. Routining this is the fun part. NLPing to try to get a spec to name a certain country is not as difficult as it sounds.

The gimmicks do wear down after a while. I carry mine in a money clip and they need replacing every couple of months. With Extreme Burn, there's also the issue of the gimmick getting 'squeezed' too much, thus creating an imprint in the bills. Still workable though.

Is the material to make the gimmicks readily available and inexpensive? I'm thinking of buying EB 2.0 and there appears to be two options: The complete EB 2.0 video that includes the original EB1 video plus a new 75 minute EB 2.0 video plus one gimmick. Or, The EB 2.0 upgrade kit that includes the new 75 minute EB 2.0 video plus three gimmicks. In reading the Café posts on EB1 and EB 2.0, I understand that the EB 2.0 gimmick is thinner than the EB 1 gimmick. However, I don't understand the reason for including three gimmicks in just the upgrade package and not also in the stand-alone EB 2.0 packet. Richard's marketing has raised three questions in my mind: 1. Is the gimmick something that has to keep being replenished from the source (i.e., Richard Sanders)? 2. If not, and if the gimmick can be made by the user once he knows the secret, why the need to include three gimmicks in the upgrade package? 3. How quickly does the gimmick wear out or need to be replaced and, does the EB 2.0 gimmick require special or delicate storage (in your pocket, wallet or money clip) when not being performed? Thanks for any info in this regard. Mike

You only need one gimmick. It will last a life time.
I think the reason he provides 3 in the upgrade from the original is so you can build multiple sets in different denomonations.

Hey Sammy,
You ever consider using foreign currency as MB suggests? I will be traveling to the Bahamas in a month and I believe Bahamian Dollars are the same size as $1US. This solves a problem for me in that I really don't think anything less than $1 to $20 has an impact and that ties up $100 in your magic drawer ($1 to $100 or $1 to $50 would really do it, but there you really have an expensive gaff). Thanks, MB, for passing along TC's idea. Regards, Alan |

Hi Alan,
I haven't considered using foreign currency because I seem to be stuck here in the States! (Except for a recent trip to Canada) I have a set that is ones to hundreds and a set that is ones to twenties. I know that is a lot of money to tie up in a trick, but I am an older fellow who can afford to have his money tied up in these sets, and I can always disassemble them to recover every bit of what I have in them. If Bahamian dollars are the same size as US ones, I would love to play with a set of those. Let's face it, the fact that American bills are all the same size and very close in color makes them a lot more forgiving. Sammy

Actually, I guess I spend them on trips to the Bahamas. Well worth it though. If I keep my lovely wife happy, she is far more likely to support my magic purchases. I bet the $1 to $100 has great reactions. I saw a magician performing that in Miami to shocked faces. I have to say I loved the way it looked from the spec side. Regards, Alan |

I hear that, Sammy, and with the investment returns today, it is a smarter way to save money...
Plus, my grandson IS a magician (or was till he discovered girls this year...) so I have to buy 2 of everything... so tell me about the Bahamas, Alan...

I'm confused at so many $1 - $100 effects, that I wonder if the differences are minimal. I'm not looking for the method. Which one do YOU like best? If you'd rather PM me, that's fine! Thanks! Doug |
