Actually you do not want to miss this. Incredible line-up, and what you get for your reg fee is just unheard of. I cannot see how Steve will ever break even, but this is a labor of love. You have to know Steve to understand. A super guy. Registration is limited to 175, and you should definitely register early. Nothing Korny about that at all. I have an idea on the Surprise Guest. LOL It is going to be a great convention. All the dealers are chosen for specific and different things they sell rather that the typical room full of everyone having the same stuff. And to top it off the Amusement Park lecture sunday is held at the park, admission is included all with your regisration, and when its over, enjoy the park, you are already in. He threw in so much, free money for dealers, free meals and on and on.

The guys in the Des Moines area are a super bunch, and Steve tops the list of great guys to know. I've had the pleasure of working with him a couple of times, and have no doubt he'll put on a great convention!

Lol...so if any of you guys bother checking the website, you'll see that they've quoted all of these posts and responded to each one of them ! Here they are:
Ken N. - From the Magic Café Forum Will this convention include a lecture on Corny jokes? No Ken – no Lecture on Corny jokes – however, the Saturday Night Gala show MIGHT be FULL of em! **************************************************** Al A. - From the Magic Café Forum Will the dealers all sell corny tricks? Al, I am not sure!?! – I do know the dealers I have HAND PICKED for this convention sell only the FINEST Magic Props & Supplies available! And at REALLY GOOD PRICES! We even have a PHOTOGRAPHER at this Convention offering an UNHEARD of deal! Check it out under “Special Stuff” **************************************************** **************************************************** Craig D. ~ S.A.M. forum Staff - From the Magic Café Forum Actually you do not want to miss this. He threw in so much, free money for dealers, free meals and on and on. * If all 175 registrations are sold, it will be Steve’s gift to those who attend this convention. Other wise, the Sunday Park Pass & Lecture will be an additional small charge of $35 for the day. Thanks Craig for the kind words – your guidance has helped me a lot with planning this convention. You are actually very right – I expect I will LOOSE MONEY doing this convention (I would love to just break even) – this IS a “Labor of Love” for me – I am proud of my Hometown of Altoona, Iowa. And to be able to show it off as well as some of the local attractions while making it a fun weekend of Magic, Gifts, and Surprises – makes it all worth while. Now will SOMEBODY please buy a registration!?! Lol **************************************************** Kyle the Great - From the Magic Café Forum I know it's going to be an awesome gathering! Yes Kyle - it WILL be an awesome gathering. The talent line-up is TOP NOTCH and truly ALL PROS! (By the way folks, I just added KYLE to the line-up!) This VERY talented young comedy magician will actually be featured playing his Banjo! Kyle is one of the TOP BANJO pickers in the Country, as well as being an award-winning comedy magician! **************************************************** Michael B. - From the Magic Café Forum The guys in the Des Moines area are a super bunch, and Steve tops the list of great guys to know. I was saddened to hear that you could not make the first year’s Abra~CORN~Dabra Magic Convention. I am hoping you will join us in 2012! Thank you again for the kind words. |

Katalina and I are excited to be performing at the Abra Corn dabra Convention. Steve really went out of his way to have a fantastically fun line up of talent. I've already talked with Oscar Munoz on the phone to see what additional havoc we can cause and make this really special for all the people we are going to attend.
Hand Picked Dealers Room Contest (many times this is the best part of the convention) Close up show Special magic party with games (Steve explained this to me and.... its gonna be wild) Morning Tea with Jade... that will be something to talk about. Oscar's Lecture, I've seen his lecture, don't miss it. And you'll want to buy a dounut. Mentalism and a Meal: Free lunch and get your mind read. Awesome. A magic auction... Holy Cow...do I need to go on!?!

Sounds like a great time. Unfortunately, I am in the middle of state track meets at that time and cannot make it. Hope it all goes well.
Richard PS I remember the problems in Dallas with fire all too well. Real world is only way to approach and act.
