Hi Kif
It was great to meet your family an see you and Gene again at The Convention. I just finished watching The PodCast Crew as I work on the Convention DVD. Got to go. There's a new PodCast to listen to.

Terrific podcast as usual, the beginning had a ton of work in it and was very entertaining. Thanks Wilde for doing all that. I had great food at the FCM convention. Went with MagicBob and SuZie and Andrew to the Marion White Castle: had 5 cheese hamburger sliders, a fry, and a Coke for $4.20 tax included. Unbelievable. We also went to the Steak Corral or Steak Stall or whatever it is called on the commercial strip in Marion- was less than $9.00 and included all you can eat made to order steaks, hot and cold shrimp, chicken, you name it. So if you have a car, it is just a quick hop away from the IWU campus to Bob Evans, Culvers and all the other national chains as well. I had a blast this year- even though spending less on food. Can't wait until next year. One thing that was mentioned on the podcast was maybe there needs another lecture or two on Gospel magic routining- great idea-- I don't really remember attending one on that subject at our local IBM Ring 211 either --- even though 211 sponsors 2 new magic lectures a month. So that may be a good topic for someone to pursue/work on for next year. Might be a good idea to explore further on the podcast too. I really enjoyed the Oz and Wilde lecture notes on magical history- the "notes" I bought had some wonderful old magic magazines included which were a great read even now. Wish we had some of those dealer prices still... you could get a lot for $2 postpaid in those yonder days... As for having more "internationals" on the programs- I am sure Del would agree- the problem probably being the FCM planners do not know enough international FCMers attending such as Bob Hill who are ready to be on the evening program? I know Abbott's is having more and more international performers during "Magic Week" next week in Michigan, but they probably have to pay out a tidy sum to get those to appear no doubt (pay air fare, etc.). Keep up the good work FCM, my hats off to this year's convention planners. I will submit to Mike Stenberg our Friday morning free lecture notes put on by MagicBob, PJ Weber and myself, maybe he can put them on the FCM web site also. Nice collection of items already on http://www.fcm.org library portion- just started looking at some of the things posted there. Roger from http://www.ChristianMagician.org

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah...the podcast is fun to do...and the convention was a blast. We all need to strive to make it the best INTERNATIONAL event we can. Sadly it took a foreign friend to point out how USA centered it was. WOW!...when he told me that at the convention...it inspired the "round table" discussion on the podcast as a format to share it. And yes..we ate out quite a bit as well... The Cold Open was a work of love...taking about 8-10 hours total to write and then edit together. But it is certainly one of if not my favorite one so far. ><> J Kif (Wilde)

You'd think that something international would be more international. Maybe it's time the FCM convention went international.
