This is an older effect, but I can't find any reviews. I was interested in perhaps combining this with the Hawk 2.0. Do Heartbeat ( not using the stickers, but signing the back as you do with The Hawk ) and then do The Hawk STEALTH ( with the quarter ).

I once had it and played around with it... Not quite sure how you would combine the 2, unless you wanna use 2 gimmicked cards. And you cant sign the heartbeat card or it would ruin the gaff. But for what it was, it was kinda cool!

Heartbeat could be used on the top of the deck and Hawk with the coin is on the bottom. There's another effect just released that looks exactly like Heartbeat and you sign the gaff on that. Heartbeat on Penguin is so inexpensive ( around $11.00 ) it's worth it to me to order and try it.

Even if I don't use them together, I'd like to play with Heartbeat for that low price.

I wasn't too wild about the gaff, myself. Let us know if it works for you, though, then maybe I'll give it another go.

I have heartbeat and it is the same gimmick as highflyer, you can do the EXACT routine from Pete's Highflyer and even make it levitate at the end. The only difference between the two is the price and the DVD. You can alter your heartbeat gimmick by taking of the sticker and putting your signature..voila, you have highflyer.

PS: I own both Highflyer and heartbeat.

I know have Heartbeat and the appearance of the Heart sticker works just like in the demo.

Generally, I wouldn't use a gaff like this because they are expensive and wear out/break. But since getting and using the best selling Hawk 2.0, where you are taught how to make the gaff, I now will use effects like Heartbeat. Even though Heartbeat costs only about $11.00, you can easily make your own ( if you already know how to make gaffs or have the Hawk ).

You don't have to use heart stickers. If you were working family restaurants, you could use Sponge Bob, Sesame Street character stickers. For adult you could use white avery stickers and have them initial the sticker, etc.

Jonxodus, thank for letting us know your thoughts on Heartbeat and Highflyer. Since I bought more than one Heartbeat, I 'll use a signature instead of stickers.

Good catch. You'd have them sign the face and you initial the sticker that goes on the back of the card.

OK, I've used this a few times now and really like it. It's not something I generally would have gotten as they wear out/break, but with the Hawk 2.0 being released and explaining how to make these types of gaffs, it's fairy easy to make a new one.

I use the round, white Avery stickers as I initial the sticker. I like that better than the heart stickers that come with it.

The change is very visual and gets great reactions. Reset is quick. I like this effect very much.
