Saw this advertised in the most recent Genii, but no one in the universe appears to carry it yet. The ad copy states that the effect "takes up where B'Wave and Twisted Sisters left off". Anyone know anything about it?

I know all about it. It should be ready for shipping in a few weeks. The retail price will be $15. It is a very nice complement to "B'Wave" or "Twisted Sisters" so if they ask for a repeat of either one of those tricks, you can do this one.

More later as the release date approaches.

Anyone who wants a notice of when it's ready can send me an email at bammomagic@cogeco.ca

Thank you for your interest.

Hey Bob,

Good to hear the news. Bob has put out some amazing effects. I own his Tsunami, Headhunter and Dejavoodoo as well as his little gem of an effect called Freakey - (Not the Gregory Wilson effect)which is excellent.

I perform B'wave in all my walk around mentalism and close up magic gigs so this will be something I will be looking forward to.

I hope it comes out soon!

Tony
As magicians we create what onlookers call magic. If they truly believe in what we have created for them to witness then magic is real!!!

Tony is one of the few people who have "FreakKey" -- though it has a very odd method and a very magical effect, it sold poorly (and it's probably the only trick where the method is revealed in the photo on the cover). Gregory Wilson asked if he could use the title and I gave him permission.

"Alice's Revenge" can be used for two completely different effects, one magic, one mentalism. More later.

I'm considering reissuing "Headhunter" -- but one thing at a time!

Sounds great Bob. I've been toying with Alain Nu's impromptu/examinable version of B'Wave.

Love to hear more about "Alice's Revenge" Bob.

Bob:

I don't want to side track the thread but I'm really glad to hear you’re considering reissuing Headhunter.

I doubt you'd remember this but YEARS ago, when I was just a kid demonstrator at a magic shop in Buffalo, you stopped in with Gary Ouellet and had me show it to you! No pressure....

I hope you do put it back out. I always loved that routine.

Please give me a shout if you do...we'd love to get it back in at the shop.

Best,
Paul

Hi Paul:

I do recall that you liked this trick. Many people do but they keep it a secret (from other magicians). I was once approached by a gaggle of Japanese magicians at a convention and they kept bowing and repeating, "Bawb Fawmer, Headhunter, Headhunter." It was very strange.

I'd like to reissue it with many more photographs, etc. I have a much better intro for it than the original. Also, I really had no idea what I was doing when I came up with the trick -- it sort of came up with itself -- and I think if I sat down and looked at it closely again I could come up with some improvements.

But for now -- all my time is devoted to "Alice's Revenge!"

I purchased Headhunter and Dejavoodoo years ago, and got a lot of use out of them. They are both great effects...they both kill...but man, the Dictionary for DejaVoodoo,..I had a h*** of a time finding that!

I have to re-do "Deja Voodoo" too. Harry Anderson has a great routine with it (he won an award for it) and the dictionary he uses is much easier to find.

Thanks for the heads up. The price is good. Fifteen bucks is as low as you could ask for.

B'wave (and similar effects) are very powerful, and people constantly ask for repeat performances. I can't wait to find out more about this effect. Alice's Revenge is definitely on my radar.

Also, I recently returned to the art (after a flirtation in junior high) and unfortunately missed out on Headhunter. I did some research and it seems like a well designed and impactful effect. Hopefully you'll find some time to reissue it.

I wore my B'wave out along time ago, then fortunately, I was able to purchase a jumbo version at Abbot's.

I noticed that The Trick Shop has included Alice's Revenge in their new e-mail newsletter. Hopefully some more information or a review will trickle in soon. This effect really piques my curiosity since I perform B'wave, Twisted Sisters and Entourage.
