Hey all...
Saw this in a circus sideshow... was wondering if anyone else knows where I might be able to get a piece of Ed Gein's farmhouse... Let me know! Thanks in advance! J

Here is some interesting Ed Gein trivia...and an idea.
A late buddy of mine was an attorney. He met Ed Gein at a state hospital in Wisconsin. He said Ed was a very nice person, very gentle. So the trivia...you got a guy who chops up and eats people and makes lovely lampshades...what job do you give him at the hospital? Ed Gein was given the job of pruning shrubs. They gave him a big, giant-scissors type pruner and basically left him unsupervised. My buddy just sat with him one afternoon and talked to Ed Gein while Ed played with a giant sharp instrument given to him by the state! So...the idea... You might not be able to get a piece of wood of Ed Gein's, but how about showing Ed Gein's pruning shears? Dig a bit and find out what the state hospitals used during that time for equipment, then buy an old one of the same era. Flash it out with a little dried blood and add a few blown-up newspaper articles for fun. |

He was reportedly never a problem, once he was in the hospital...a model patient. Noticeably, he was committed at a time when psychiatric drugs were becoming very popular, and Ed was never prescribed any.
His hospital records are still sealed, for reasons of confidentiality.

Many years ago these fragment were sold to the public. There is a dealer (can't remember his name) who sells paintings done by serial killers and murders. He's online. He may know something. Also, check under this:
Murderabilia, also known as murderbilia, is a term identifying collectibles related to murders, murderers or other violent crimes, coined by Andy Kahan, former director of the Houston-based Mayor's Crime Victims Office. One dealer is Lowbrow but he does not have much. The one I am thinking of sold Manson and Gacy. Hope this helps. |
