I know, I know, I'm not a beginner but I had a question.
What are some product names and places to buy the incandescent luminary trick? The one that uses a light tube, and the effect is similar to the old gag shop light bulb that lights up in your hand. Thanks, X

Shawn,
Are you referring to the gimmicked light bulb or a fluorescent tube? |

Shawn,
I don't know what type of effect you're tyring to create but...the technology is available cheaply enough nowadays that it wouldn't be hard to construct your own lighting device, specific to the design you need. White LED's are small, bright, & have low energy consumption. Couple that with the correct diffusion grating on glass, or paper filters inside the aparatus to get the desired lighting effect. ...just an idea. jlareau

The fluorescent tube Peter, we call them luminaries where I work so for lack of memory this morning that is what I put down.
What are names for that effect? I'm not looking to make one but thanks Jonathan.
