Hi afinemesh, thanks...

Hi Turk, I try to personalize everything I do in magic just to be ahead of the game... competition here in southern Germany is getting fierce... Being and Englishman helps me to be "exotic" here but I feel a believable story is entertainment enough for most audiences, when coupled with an astonishing visual effect the bond tightens and the entertainment value is increased.

I learned a lot from "Books of Wonder" by Tommy Wonder, there is a whole chapter on the story... I recommend this to everyone.

I bought the music from PrimeLoops.com (Genre: Classical - Orchestral Scores) here is a link http://primeloops.com/loops-samples/prod......res~134/
The track is called "The Sorcerer Waltz" Tempo 120 in F#minor (harmonic) it's a 24 second loop which you can extend to any length you want.

Just copy my routine with your trouser leg rolled up Smile

Seriously though... just tell a story which actually happened to you or think of a stereotype you may want to exploit...

one idea springs to mind using the black balling of a candidate (or whatever the secret name is...)

The conversational demeanor works wonderfully.

It was a pleasure to watch and listen.

Every part of this routine, including the body language, is spot-on.
"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

Mr. Dowd, this is a bit off topic, but I wanted to inquire about your table in your video. Did you purchase or make it youself?

Yeah I think Tim just made a sale for that music site. I've been searching for some royalty free stuff and this is exactly what I needed.

Hi Guys, thanks for reviving this thread I am really proud of the story... as for the table I bought it here in Germany from a magic dealer but I am not really happy with the quality... the silver is flaking off the legs... it is no longer available but was called the "Adlatus"

Well I would like to see the better ones, because this was really good. Your great presentation makes a traditional/straightforward routine really shine.

Tim,

Great routine, The cup looks really good. RNT2 has some fantastic products. I brought new life into my old cups with their chopped ball set.

I do like the way you do this routine, Tim.

Any chance that you might be at Eurocol 4?
