For those of you that may be interested...I was at Barnes and Noble today and saw that they were now carrying, in stock, KEMs for $25 for 2 decks as well as Bicycle Prestige Cards (the ones in the larger black box.)
Thought you'd like to know. -Vinny |

Blackeagle,
If you wanna play cards for real you'll have to practice with plastic brands. Of course, paper decks are still in use, but plastic cards are more and more common. The average players don't like them because they are difficult to handle, but the host of the game like them because they last several weeks. With standard players, a paper deck lasts 2 or 3 nights before getting unplayable. With drunk players a paper deck last one night! Players are not magicians. They drink, eat, don't wash their hands before playing, etc. Last, if you wanna cheat for real, you have to get used to as many brands as possible, paper or plastic, bridge or poker size and on any condition. On my videos I very often handle worn and old decks, but that's the ones I come across most of the time! Of course, some clubs or casino use decks in good or even very good condition but that's not the rule. There are no rule to be honest. Sometimes you gonna play a game with 6 or 7 20 years old kids in a basement and they use brand new Kems for their $50 buy-in tourney, sometimes you see guys playing semi-cash games with $500 refills and they use the ****ty Chinese paper deck they got in their crappy chips case! No rule. Practicing with many brands and models will also help you to improve your sleights. Use different thickness too. For instance, I practice my second deal with 60 or 65 cards. Trust me, it's much more easier when you play with 52 ones pasteboards after that. |

I just figured if anyone was interested, and their local Barnes and Noble had them, they would save on shipping and they are a few bucks cheaper than I have seen at some other places.

NOTE: There are knock off KEM cards now....
The Knock off cards are not smooth. They have a bummpy feel on the face of the card and the back of the card is slicker than most KEMS. The bummpy feel on the face of the cards almost looks like cracks in the card on the face.
