Get into a conversation about iPods and innocently keep referring to them as ippids (to rhyme with lipids). It drives 'em nuts.

I'm pretty sure that the iPod owners I know would call me an idiot and leave it at that. (And I'm an iPod owner)

So, which of the 5 types of Apple-hater is landmark?
I've never quite understood the whole "let's get Apple/make fun of Apple users" mindset. Don't like Apple? Here's a suggestion: Don't purchase Apple products or services. I don't care for Lean Cuisine myself, but I don't feel the need to go around denegrating people who enjoy Lean Cuisine, or trying to upset regular purchasers of Lean Cuisine. |

I have owned only Macs for many years and have been quite happy with them. I use only Macs at work. My wife and son have Macs. I subscribe to MacLife. My son has an iPod touch.
But I am also around people all day who have iPods stuck in their ears 24/7 when they aren't on their iPhones. Any chance to annoy them is a plus in my book

In defense of Landmark
He lives in NY, and most people (old and young) who live there and ride the NY city subway system, or walk the streets listen to music all the time, so I guess you can feel a little odd if you are one of the few that don't listen to music constantly. I have been called worse names than fanboy before, and I can take it. My dear friend MagicSanta is constantly calling me terrible names, and I love him just the same.

We own (I believe) seven or eight "iPpods" at last count and four iPhones. Recently, we purchased three Macs (two MacBooks and one iMac) to replace aging PCs. My daughter likes hers, my wife is tolerating hers, and thus far, I HATE mine!
Just had to get that in... Quote: On 2010-08-07 00:04, landmark wrote:

I usually only listen to my ipod in my car, but whenever my wife and I go to New York for some fun we always take our ipods with us so we don't look like tourists.

It's just stupid. *** "Fanboy" is a great movie, although I got a little annoyed at their anamosity toward "Star Trek" fans. (The fanboys of the title are "Star Wars" fans, they run a comic book/movie prop shop and keep one "Star Trek" communicator on display with the understanding that anybody who asks about it is a "Star Trek" fan and gets kicked out of the shop!) My favorite moments are with Carrie Fisher (no spoilers) and Willaim Shatner.

I will never, ever buy a PC again. I envy you, new Mac user...it only gets better, I promise
