Can you send a link to the wooden version ?
I prefer wood rather than plastic and if the mechanism is the same I would buy wood version because "box trap" is my favorite trick for 2011 but I'm not a magician, so what I think new is probably not for you. I like trap box because you can use it in lots of different routines as "4D Surprise" is more impressive but you do it once and you're done. |

Well... finally Cloud Money is not as bad as people think, actually the "gimmick" is more clever than you think, I would say it is really new ( for me, I'm not magician) and that's a good idea.
The problem is for the presentation which is really hard to be realistic, more it is necessary that the public is a bit distant if you want show boot side of the bill. The idea is good and you will be surprised to discover the trick, too bad that missing a little something for the presentation was as good as the idea ... There is no really false thumb but something more sophisticated, you can hardly borrow the banknote, apart if you are good at handling. We must wait to see if anyone has come to make a video of the effect really successful, but if "Tenyo" failed to do great video but I am not sure that someone will succeed unfortunaly ... |

I suspected that the gaff might be a little more clever then we thought... that's why I bought it <g>. Actually I am a little suprised you bought it Stereo given your earlier comments, but I appreciate the feedback. Can the gaff be hooked up to other objects like a credit card?
Did you have a chance to check out the rattle box link? John |

Yes I think you can use it whit credit card or playing card but maybe the size of the "gimmick" is a bit too much large. So it will ask for confirmation that someone will have the trick in hands. I see the link for wooden trap box but I'm not sure the mechanism is the same. I don't know if this website ship to France for a reasonable price but I'm interested by this wood trick. |

Hi Stereo:
With all the money you made on Coin Case today on ebay you can now treat yourself to a new wooden rattle box! Congrats on the selling price. John |

For the moment I have no news from the guy from Italia ( magicsi19800 ) who buy Coin case ... I have send the invoice, wait and see. There were 16 people who followed the auction but only 4 bids, I'm little disapointed but I think putting it on sale at the same time as the new Tenyo 2011 collection was perhaps not a good idea.
Good for the buyer who makes a bargain by paying this very very rare trick cheaper than Mini morphosis who went to 350 dollards this mount. For Floating Lady I am a little worried because the photo of the ad is not really that of the seller because it is a picture from internet ( http://artoftenyo.blogspot.com/ ) but maybe he has no camera ... |

My big problem is that normally the money win with "coincase" should be used to pay my rent but I did not resist buying "Floating Lady".
Now I really must sell something else and I will still be obligated to sell a trick that I wanted to keep as my new diabolicus or Mystic Ruby. It stresses me this history of money ... It's terrible being poor lol I would soon have nothing to sell and more the problem of exchange rate USD / Euro does not help me Ps: The seller of Floating Lady put on sale new item whit photo of JM Talbot if I'm not mistaken |

Don't worry - he's offering PayPal and has a good feedback profile, so you shouldn't be too concerned.
Besides, he mentioned seperately that he currently has no pics of his items so that might explain him taking a "borrowed" photo.

The 4 d statue of liberty appearance. Is in a word amazing! I got it form japan yesterday and well its pretty amazing looking. I would never have believed it if I did not see it myself. WOW this is a winner! The light bulb thing is pretty cool too and I will actually use that in performance it works well and is fun.

Received my new 2011 tricks from Japan yesterday as well. I agree the 4D Suprise is very cool! This is why I love Tenyo... very clever method that fools your own eyes! I will be taking this one off the shelf and showing it many times. It is not designed to transported and used in a formal performing situation... however I don't care it is just cool to have and play with. I wish Tenyo would get back to releasing more stuff like this... two thumbs up.
The Ghost Lamp is also very nice. A very good reproduction of the Scotty York original. Saysold mentioned that the bulb is plastic which is true, howver it has a nice shiny glass like appearnce and in my mind is not an issue. It is an exact copy of a 7 watt "appliance bulb". Real bulb packaging to carry it in is easily obtained in any department store. The actual bulb works very nicely. I was pleased to see that they designed the electronics so that the bulb stays on after it finds the card. This lends itself to some other routining ideas. Also can see combining it with a m@#$%t ring for additional possiblities. Very pleased with this and will definitely use it. Two thumbs up. The Trap Box is very well made and does what it shows on the demo... vanishes the ring (or other small object). My only complainint with this is that there are a number of rattle boxes on the market that do the same thing, including the one I referenced in an earlier post from Viking Magic. If I was to actually use a rattle box I would use one of the wooden ones. So one thumb up for design execution but one thumb down for basically copying what is already available in the market place. And Finally Cloud Money... my favorite (kidding). Stereo mentioned that the gimmick is a little more clever than we might have anticipated and that is true. However will have to spend time with it to see if that ultimatel matters. I think the key to using this would be a very short sequence... more of a suprising throwaway bit... any longer and the method becomes somewhat obvious. I will be experimenting with the gaff however. So for now 1 thumb up for some newer thinking on the gaff and 1 thumb down for a so so(at this point anyway) effect. Overall I am much happier with the releases this year than last. I am leaving on Friday to fly to L.A. to go on this year's Magic Cruise! Will also be attending the Magic Castle for the first time. Will check in when I get back to see how others are making out with the new line. Cheers, John |

Have fun at the MC in LA and thanks so much for the review John! I'm jealous but I used to be a member there and I am thinking about joining again as I love that place - especially the Sunday brunch!
I agree with what you said about 4D and Ghost Lamp too...
