Zombie cloud money?
I like their take on the rattle box. Unlike the standard, the back end isn't "open." The object is visible until the box is complerely closed. Great idea |

I thought I might be missed an essential point of the effect, like their fabulous idea of glue spinning, spinning, and spinning again! ^^
Having, some years ago, tw!sting all the summer Tenyo hope that we will be "spinning glue" all winter ? |

The Ghost Lamp looks very cool. I looked up the history of this effect from Scotty York and it really is an elegant presentation, especially with the scissors at the end.
To me Ghost Lamp and 4D seem to be the front-runners in 2011... I have a friend from Europe who is traveling to Japan in mid October. Does anyone have a suggestion on whether these items might be available at a magic or toy store next month in Japan, and which store(s) specifically might have these items? If not I will have to be patient and wait for Ebay... Thanks. BRETT

The best place to find Tenyo in Japan is the Airpot. I heard that This is the place that makes the most sales in Japan for Tenyo tricks.

I happen to know someone who is going to Japan pretty soon as well. Not sure if the 2011 line will be out in time though.
This person usually doesn't have too much time to go shopping for me so what I typically do is just order the tricks myself from Amazon Japan and have them delivered to his hotel room. Amazon has an English website with English customer support and they let you pay by credit card as well. They have a pretty decent selection of Tenyo tricks and good prices especially if you orders from some of the Amazon Marketplace sellers. |

You guys are a wealth of great information!
I'm advising my Norwegian brother in law to try the airport first - but I may check Amazon too. Thanks again - BRETT

Anyone tried ordering on this site yet: http://en.rakuten.co.jp/ ?
They seem to have quite a wide range of Tenyo tricks for a very reasonable price, no English instructions though. |

I was thinking about trying them out but it seems they don't tell you the shipping costs until after you enter your credit card information and submit your order. I am a little nervous of them just shipping the order with a surprise shipping charge on my credit card.
Of course the downside with getting the tricks from Japan is they they don't come with English instructions but I find that you can almost always figure them out from the pictures. And for those that are tough to figure out there is always Google Translate |

Sadly all the YouTube video links to the 2011 line were removed apparently - but here is a good link to see the effects:

Are these usually released early in the year, or later?...

Question for those who might know:
With the new "Ghost Lamp" effect from Tenyo, what will the quality of the playing cards be like? I'm assuming that the cards are gimmicked in some way, but does Tenyo supply decent looking cards and could they be placed in standard Bicycle box so as not to look like they are part of the effect? I REALLY like the way Ghost Lamp looks, and what a deal compared to the treasured Scotty York classic.

Joseph, from what I know the new line is released in oktober - november in Japan, the English versions a month or two later (december - january available in Europe/America).
Saysold, the cards Tenyo uses in it's tricks are good quality; they don't have the air-cushing finish (or what is it called) Bicycle has, but they handle pretty well. Most of the cards supplied with Tenyo tricks are however a bit smaller then POKER size, it says BRIDGE size on the box (probably because Japanese people have rather small hands), so (perhaps) you'll need a BRIDGE Bicycle box |
