I'm trying to find something that looks like spray paint to provide a bit of cover for a black art effect. Basically imagine an empty picture frame, you quickly spray in front of the frame, and the person appears.
I'm going to try some of this "smoke in a can," http://www.starlight.com/poof.html but I don't really want something that will linger in the air. I want something that would look like spray paint, but of course wouldn't get paint all over everything Any ideas? Thanks! |

I can think of other things, that don't include a spray can, that would work. A party popper may provide enough cover. I was also thinking of adding a rice krispie launcher, filled with mylar confetti, inside of a oil lamp or bottle - for a genii from a lamp effect. A CO2 cannon would provide enough cover, as would kabuki throw streamers.

How about just a can of air that you buy at the office supply store to clean electronics with?

Use a co2 spray curtain.

Thanks Clinton.
I am sure that it goes by slightly different names. My daughter was at a show choir competition in which and entire cast did a costume change on stage with these co2 cover. Richard

Thanks for all of your suggestions!
I'm not sure what they are called either, but something like those co2 spray curtains would be ideal if they came in a can. I'll search around a bit and let you know if I find anything. I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember going to one of the more recent Copperfield shows, and one of the stage hands used a can with a spray as a sight gag... something along the lines of one of the other stage hands smelling bad. I wonder what that was? |

In a post above, I supplied this URL:
http://tinyurl.com/2btwtxj This is for a fire extinguisher in a small, paint-can-sized container. I have never seen one, but it looks promising...

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) extinguishers are used for class B and C fires. CO2 extinguishers contain carbon dioxide, a non-flammable gas, and are highly pressurized. The pressure is so great that it is not uncommon for bits of dry ice to shoot out the nozzle. They don't work very well on class A fires because they may not be able to displace enough oxygen to put the fire out, causing it to re-ignite. |

Hey I know I am very late to this topic and it may be dead by this point, but my idea is more along the lines of the Mini-CO2 fire extinguisher.
They make these tiny CO2 cartridges for paint ball guns, etc. I just did a search for co2 cartridge and got this link: http://www.antarespro.com/4243146-item-C......d318d312 THIS DOES NOT have a means of expelling the CO2. But if someone can come up with a good means, via a SPRAY CAN type apparatus, I think this may be cheaper than paying $18 for a tiny fire extinguisher. Just my 2 cents! Good Idea.
