I just bought a Qble Spider table. See it at http://www.spider-evoflex.com/product_in......sic-p-79
I used it for the first time yesterday at a daycare show and LOVED IT!! It set up in about a minute, allowed a nice secure space to set props for show use and provided a reasonably sturdy performing platform/table top and quick access to a "dump area" for used props/materials. I used it in conjunction with my briefcase on a tripod stand. I had been using just the briefcase on tripod stand but found it a bit inconvenient when I wanted a "table top" for setting a prop down. (I had generally performed my show with the briefcase open allowing me to have a sign facing the audience on the 'top' portion of the briefcase.) The Qble packs very small, is relatively lightweight yet sufficiently sturdy, looks good and sets up and tears down in less than 2 minutes. I bought mine from a guy on eBay so I didn't pay retail and as a result, I'm extremely pleased with the table. I have no financial interest in the table, the manufacturer or distributor(s) of the table. Just a happy new Qble table owner. Check it out! MagicAL |

Wow, that's really neat. The thing I didn't like about that size and "style" of table was the bulkiness - this has solved that problem. A "Lefler" looking table that you carry in a bag. What a great idea!

Hi all,
This looks like a neat table. Stevens Magic carries the Spider line. Below is a link for the Qble table. Bob Phillips http://www.stevensmagic.com/index.php?ma......d=111779 |

They are well made tables that should last a long time. However, the 39" height may be a little tall for shorter Magi. I recently cut a Qble down for a friend and it was quire easy. Measure your cuts carefully!
I used a tubing cutter (about $10 at your local hardware store) to trim 5 inches off the top of the legs. This will leave a ridge on the inside of the tube which will need to be removed, but it is not difficult with the right sized drill bit or countersink. The tubing is metric and slightly larger than 1/2". The skirt was trimmed down wth a mat cutter, but could easily be done with a straight edge and a box cutter or utility knife. Again, measure carefully. The result was a table that had better proportions and was the correct height for my friend.

Excellent design for a take-down table. I was impressed.
Takes too long to set up for me for and I doubt that it's rugged enough for the street. I can certainly see how some would love it. I love the design ideas tho. Great thought was put into that.

I noticed on the Spider website that they will cut down the Qble to your specified height so you don't have to cut it down yourself like I did.

There are two models of Qble. The 6500 is the 39 inch model. The 6501 is made with telescoping tubing that allows you to set it up so that it is any height from roughly 32 inches to 39 inches.
