I have been looking to do a Vampira show this year and have seen Vampira on Ebay from time to time. It says it can be adapted for a man to do. Anyone know anything about this rountine? Any advice would be helpful.

A routine made for women by Tony Andruzzi? That sounds interesting. Yeah please let me know too.

For those interested in purchasing this (Vampira by Gloria Palmer) go here
[outdated link]

There is also a revamped version in Marcom's Marcom Presents Magic

As I understand it, this routine was performed by Tony's wife Gloria.

Gloria was Tony Andruzzi's first wife. (At that time Tony was know by the name Tom Palmer.)

Several years after Gloria and Palmer were divorced, she married (Ralph) Marcom. Marcom performs as MarcoM the Mountebank.

Gloria died within the past year.

Okay, can anyone give a more detailed description of what this effect actually is?

Vampira isn't an effect, it's a complete "in character" act designed for a female entertainer.

Could the character be a young girl Vampire? Say 8. Would the illusions be too difficult? Wasn't there a youthful appearing vampire in one of these latest movies?
Thanks

Dave,
You are referring to Kirsten Dunst who played a child vampire in Interview With A Vampire.

Yes Agustus, I believe you are right. I think that my room mates have that movie. I'd better "Dig" it out.

Ok, got it. It's actually quite dated (1968) and while reading it I thought of some new things to do with it right away so to be honest I didn't really love it and wouldn't do it completely as it's written, though a couple of things are still cool. It can be adapted for a man to do but like I said there are new things you could do to make the act way better. I like the way it goes into the detail of the act and even shows you kind of what to wear and what kind of make-up to use and how to apply it. It's nothing difficult. I think I might write my own Vampira act with new stuff and make it a bit more spooky.

Thank you for answering my question about vampira, I guess, I will pop the eight bucks for it. I guess, I will have to update it and add newer effects. Thanks for the post.
