As I travel further afield for my gigs I've found myself without something I need in a pinch once in awhile. So, I've started a list to start a "gig survival kit."

Sewing Kit
safety pins
hand wipes/hand sanitizer
gaff tape
clothes line rope
ice pack
tissues
aspirin
pepto bismult
spare batteries
notebook
pen
business cards
extra perspiration meds
anti histamine

What would you add?

Eye Drops

Also, I carry my Leatherman in my case. It has phillips and flathead screwdriver, knife, file, scissors and a few other misc tools. It's helped me to McGyver many a prop.

The late great Jay Marshall published this a necessity years ago. It is a must for a busy professional.

It cover the old saying, if something will go wrong it will.

The Boy Scouts had it right, be prepared!

Duct tape and a good bottle of scotch. If duct tape won't fix it, the scotch will...

I've seen a performer who had is music *properly* prepared:
On a CD, with an extra CD; a flash drive with the MP3 files; an ipod with four different types of audio cable to hook into virtually any system, plus a dock for the ipod that could play music if all else failed.

We always used to carry a small wire gadget
that you could clip over the top of a door
and then hang clothes etc from it.

It even said so on the door."
