I love Immaculate Connection by Paul Harris. It's impromtu, it's very visual, it has a magical ending and everything can be examined. Art of Astonishment vol 2 or as separate manuscript.

Harry Lorayne's Linking Card is pretty darn good!

Enjoy the search!

In addition to the above, I would also suggest Sylvain Marouf's "Osmosis" which can be found in AoA.

Namaste,

I have never performed it but I'm kind of surprised that no one one thus far has mentioned Roger Crabtree's linking card routine.

I believe Sixten Beam?, I'm not sure that's the right spelling or even right person. has a version There are so many versions out there. If you're truly interested in this effect the best thing to do is search for every version that there is and then pick the one of those that you like the best. Or you may even find that you can combine the things you like the most from a couple of them and come up with your own version.

Hi all, I would love to suggest Ben Williams OCL (one card link) superb linking card trick however to get the glue required inthe uk is tricky, but in the US its as easy as 123 apparently. you can order this from http://www.magicshop.co.uk

Enjoy as I have with this trick on many many occasions, it is completely baffling and also if you add some perforated holes down the fold (magic area) then if they even attempt to try and figure out the secret it will rip and then it will never be figured out. Smile

Sixten Beme's One Card Link is a favorite of mine, but it's a bit prep heavy. You can hand the linked card out for inspection though. I also figured out a nice unlink that's fairly visual and allows me to give the unlinked card out at the end of the trick.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable.

I would definitely second Paul Harris' Immaculate Connection. The method is genius and what I really like about is that it is a routine. The other linking card effects I have seen simply links and unlinks, not much progression.

Also, I really like Andrew Mayne's Hypercard. It is really visual. But again, it would have been better had it been built up to a routine.

You can see me do my Impromptu Linking Card at http://www.youtube.com/harrylorayneonvideo . It looks much better when done in person - no way to misdirect a camera! HL.

Yes. The latter is a different method and multi phase routine.

Harry's is a quick, easy, anytime routine.

Just to add to Paul's statement, Immaculate Connection is a much improved version of Cardboard Connection. As Paul stated, the methodology is different and much cleaner. It is a modular routine in that you don't have to do all of the phases. In fact, I don't think that Copperfield performed all the phases when he did it on the telly.

Yet again I am going to plug Marouf's Osmosis. There are similarities to Harry Lorayne's routine but it's not as "easy." And yes, the Lorayne routine is superb and can be done anywhere, anytime, with any pack of cards.

You can see me do it, Nat, at http://www.youtube.com/harrylorayneonvideo along with 34 other items. As I always note, it'd not under the best of circumstances, because you can't misdirect a camera. HL.

Agree with Vlad, I think Sylvain Mirouf's Osmosis is underappreciated.
