In a research for a trip to Mexico I found that in the ancient Mayan city Uxmal there is a building called The Pyramid of the Magician. It was built to the honour of Itzamna, god of magicians among other things. Furthermore I found this contemporary painting of Itzamna:

Is this about human sacrifices and a bowl of hearts to be eaten?
Aw come on... you know you want to do the trick with little sponge hearts and a final load of one that's beating. ;)
