I saw the movie today in a preview at the Frankfurt Fantasy Film Festival (FFFF). It's marvellous... all you dark folks out there will love it... I highly recommend it!

I want to see it but I can't find anyone (including my wife) who is willing to go to see it. I have heard it is very creepy.
As magicians we create what onlookers call magic. If they truly believe in what we have created for them to witness then magic is real!!!

Is it done better that the Blair Witch Project? That movie was said to be great as well and by the end I was hoping for the girl to die.

I decided to go to a late night showing last night and loved it. I really like the documentary aspect. There were several jump out of your seat moments which were great. I am not that sure about the ending but it certainly made me laugh when I walked out. I recommend it guys!

One word of advise though... A late Taco Bell dinner and a late night showing of the Last Exorcist makes for some crazy dreams! Have fun!

Hi Lars, I would love to be there with you. We could take in some of your fine beer, hit the movie and get into loads of trouble before the night is done. I would love that my friend!

Germany is one place that is on my places to visit and lecture at some day. I have been contemplating taking a trip there to perform and lecture but have not made any contacts yet to set it up.

That was the worst ending for a film I think I have ever seen Wow, what a letdown. It was pretty darn good up until the last 15 minutes. One critic said it best when he wrote:

"The film is like enjoying a beautifully tender filet mignon where every bite is delicious. But, at the end you find a disgusting fungus-filled toe nail on the plate."

That's unfortunate. Sounds like producer's destroying the project, typical Hollywood.

That's why they have director's cuts and alternate endings. I'll pass and wait to see if the DVD corrects the movie.

Hmmmm.... I liked the end very much.... actually I found it quite surprising and I really liked the idea very much.... Well, one of my favorite movies is 'Rosemary's Baby'. Maybe that's why I liked it...

I liked it too. I didn't see it coming at all so I guess that is why I liked it.

I won't say it's the worst ending for a movie, by a long shot, but I certainly considered it a letdown and a non-thinking B-Movie way out. Don't get me wrong--I love a good B movie, but in this movie the ending was out of place and inferior to the build up.

Good acting but doesn't hold up as a good pseudo-documentary, I am pretty sure that if most see something horrific or are scared to death will be AT LEAST filming in a bad way.

Paranormal Activity is still king.
Double posters should be shot!

No really!!

An interesting choice of the character's name Cotton, from a religeous stand point historically. Probably lost on the average movie goer.

I can't totally judge it by the sneak peek I saw, but I thought it was just tacky, given the glimpse I had. Like watching that "I Am Six" episode of that ghosthunter TV series, "Paranormal State" Smile

Was the movie "Paranormal Activity" scarier - or better? That was done in the same docu-drama manner.
How's this thing stack up to, say, The Exorcist?

Paranormal Activity was better in all aspects I can think of including the two most important to me:

1. The ending worked
2. The characters responded in a way I could imagine someone reasonably responding given the scary stuff happening around them

I've looked into "Last Exorcism" more, I know the ending. Bleh.
I think I'll skip it.. or at least wait until DVD.

This movie is most certainly no "The Exorcist", not even close.

I completely concur. Fine up until the 10-15 minutes then it was like, what the???
To me it seemed like two different movies were spliced together. It's pretty much unfair to the audience as there is nothing that eludes to the ending, like it came out of left field... I mean deep left field... out of the parking lot left field.

Peace and Godspeed.

If this film is worse than Paranormal Activity then I'm surprised - I didn't think you could get any worse...
