Music stores have a guitar pick holder that allows you to place several picks in it at once and get one at a time, they are about 5 bucks. Probably could modify one of these.

Here is a great holdout from Martin Breeze, the Florentin Holdout.
http://www.martinbreese.com/ The dropper I was refering to was a long flat tube, holds 5 silver dollars. Has a base of had release of one coin a time release. This was used much like the old cigarette dropper for production of a single coin one at time from either side of the body. That is why I was trying to get a second coin dropper. They usually pin to the armpit vest or coat. The hint hint to Michael Baker was because he said earlier he had a metal bender. I seen one of these used at Abbotts once by Bud West, in seconds he bent a corner bracket to protect the wood corners for a customer. No rulers, no scrbbing, just took a piece of brass and bent it in a triangle. Screwed it on and it was perfect, he made 2 that perfectly matched. Wow, that impressed me that he could bend such a small decoration, with that large long metal bender. |

I'd pay a decent amount for a couple really high class versions. The idea is great. Its thin, light and hangs convenient at the bottom edge of my jacket. Problem is no one makes a usable one anymore Still trying to find a few spare minutes to take those pictures, hopefully this weekend. Posted: Sep 18, 2010 1:31pm Pictures uploaded. This was hard to get detail on because it was black on black, sorry. They all start with IMG_ and can be viewed or downloaded at https://public.me.com/jeffpk

Been working on this a bit this week.Found some square tubes/round on inside, made for storing coins at a coin store. Perfect fit for the tube and the square outside should make it easy to rig for a trigger clip ect.. Even has holes in the corners to mount it to something. found a spring that fits now for the trigger/release...

I'll be curious to see what you come up with, Gimpy. I won't be able to start onthis until after I get relocated.
The gate is reverse of what I had in mind. This appears to be a double action gate, with the first action (pushing the lever) both releasing a coin from the pin above and closing the opening. I'm guessing the gate closes before the pin fully releases, so once the coin drops from above it rests against the tab on the gate that seals the opening. The second action (caused by the spring's default) opens the gate, releasing the lowest coin and pins another coin in place above. So in this reverse action, the pin traps the next coin just before the gate opens to allow the lowest coin to drop. The coin closest to the opening keeps the second coin from dropping until that pin is in place, at which time the lowest coin is then free to drop. Is this correct?

Yes that's how the Indian ones work.
I think the viking ones are a bit different but I can only guess from the one picture on the viking site.
