I wish I had a video of Tony Marx! He produced an "itty bitty" bunny, followed by one "big enough to saddle and ride off stage"!!! --Then he did an ASRAH with the big beast and finally vanished it.I only saw him work twice, at the T-Bone Club in Wichita.
Oh! The monster rabbit was produced from a bunch of silks. Jack Pyle finished his club act with the productiion of a "big one" (from a few silks). Like Marx,it was a show stopper.

My second best rabbit production is (Richard Hughes rabbit bag). This bag is the best one I'd ever bought. Professionally well made.
If you don't have one, then you're really missing out on a very good and easy rabbit production, and the price is right. Ricky |

I really like Lance Burton's chicken production which could easily be used to produce a rabbit.

Here's a unique way to produce a rabbit: http://youtu.be/GH9I4pJfYrY
I was impressed how they got the rabbit into place, only possible with a major distraction - a naked woman. My wife, however, wasn't very impressed. |

Back in 1977/78 I did a Rabbit From Hat routine that worked for me. One show, at a ladies luncheon, I pulled out the ol' bunny, and he was just-a peein'! All over the table, me...just awful! If I do ANY animal magic today, it's with spring animals. I LOVE Rocky Racoon!

Don't feed or water the little beast until after the show! Doug, you "shoulds" been in Fargo, ND about twenty years ago. I was visiting a couple of clown friends at an INDOOR CIRCUS date. It was a concrete floor and the closing act was 5 elephants doing all the standard elephant tricks, in the center ring.
A new elephant groom, had innocently watered the "girls" before their act. Yup! One of the "girls" found it necessary to relieve herself, and the other 4, to be sociable, joined the first. As noted, it was a concrete floor and the circus ring made a good dam. The man working the act, was suddenly up to his ankles, in elephant pee. I have NEVER heard that big and sustained a laugh in a circus!

I've been looking for such "perfect" method too. I wanted to avoid putting my rabbit into any kind of bag, event if it's natural for them to sit in close dark places for a long time. Also I didn't want to have to much props on stage to hide the load. My rabbit is quite big and unfortunatelly I couldn't afford to buy custumized box. Boxes I found in magic stores looked cheapy and I decided to build Blammo Box. I bought P. Osbourne's plans (http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S13688). A few days of work and I've got it. I have always loved such fast, flashy productions. I made it to unfold completely so it packs small. Here You have some photos:

Welcome to the Café, Tomasz_J! Beautiful box! Boy...big bunny, ain't he? Mine was a dwarf. Little thing. Easy to produce. Didn't live very long unfortunately. Man! Nice big rabbit though! Nice production!

Mine was also supposed to be...dwarf But he's quite big right now. But like coin tricks - the bigger bunny the bigger effect, right? Thanks for Your kind words!
