Jeff, you remember when Wang tried to retire and his son almost destroyed the company? Then Wang died and that was that...they were part of that phony wannabe silicon highway in Mass.

Hey, I WORK in that "phony wannabe silicon highway in Mass."

Which isn't really fair. The area was important in mainframe and minicomputer days.

Its just the Intel and Microsoft beat them all.

When I was much younger, there were two roadside diners near my hometown. One was called "Park & Blow" and the other was called "Chat & Chew". The former restaurant was so remote the lack of business closed it down. Naturally, it quickly became a place to park with your date.

Some things never change, though. Just down the road from where I reside today is an all-night diner called "Squat & Gobble". Go figure.

I love that name, "Road Kill Café."

When I was in school in MA years ago, there was a company by the name of "Poor Ambulance Service," owned by a guy named Peter Poor.

Actually, I love "Yahoo." It's like, "hey, I found it." Makes me want to start a search engine named Eureka. Unless somebody already beat me to it.

It's not one particular business, but I always thought "Christian Supply" was an odd thing to call a store. Like it's where you would go to buy Christians.
"How many you need today sir?"
"Oh just two, I had a big lunch."

I also laugh when I see "liquor & wine."
All I can think of is a dweeby guy going "Aw, she tastes like fish Smile "

I could think of one of those right across the street from the Colosseum, a couple of thousand years ago. Location, location, location.

That was my first thought too, I just didn't want to raise any hackles.

Ironically, there is one right across the street from the Spokane Arena, which was called the Spokane Colleseum before it was rebuilt.

I recall while watching a football game at Western Michigan University, the electronic billboard showed an advertisement for "Steve's Steel Erection Company".

Also not a company name, but a local vacuum and pump repair shop has the slogan, "We fix things that suck."

Road Kill Café is the name of the entertainment area at the haunt where I've done my Halloween shows for the past 10 years.

There is a town in Illinois named Eureka. It's where Ronald Reagan went to college.

There used to be burger joint here called, "Fat Burgers". On the menu was a "Baby Fat Burger".

I also worked in a bar called "Sonova Beach"

There's a place up the road from me called "Dang's Alterations"

Fat Burger! We just got one here at the casino. I love that place.
They have Baby Fat, Mama Fat, all kinds of fats. And they shout is when you order it. They're labeled on the menu with the basic small-XXXL, but when you order a small they shout "BABY FAT!"
I've had the biggest one. It's terrifyingly huge. Then we went upstairs to the cigar bar. I can't believe I survived the night.
Thanks for the memories, man.
