Back on topic, I don't mind if there is no video for a magic trick, although an unedited video might make me want to purchase something I wouldn't purchase otherwise.

I also don't mind if an advertisement isn't literally true as long as it's obvious that it's not true, for example, if someone is selling a "floating ball," I would expect that it probably doesn't really float.

If the advertisement is obviously going to deceive buyers then I object to the advertisement. For example, if the advertisement stated, "No matter what is chosen," and it turns out that a force is used, then I don't consider claiming that the audience's impression is that any item could have been chosen justifies the advertisement - it's so obviously going to mislead purchasers, some of who might not want to use a force. When I see that type of advertisement, until I see a long-term change in advertising from that seller/dealer I will not purchase anything from them.
