Not to mention the article that started the whole high fructose corn syrup craze actually mentioned just fructose in general.

The question has to do with mental disorders. If ones religious or political beliefs represent their opinions on how we should treat or otherwise handle sociopaths, psychopaths, and narcissists, then could one please explain the connection. If we are expanding our parameters so, then I would like to request that we also include schizophrenics whose actions are the product of a complete disconnect with what we call reality. What does your belief system have to say about individuals whose free will has been taken away from them by cognitive defect?

If I recall correctly, the same original article was the one that also brought up the type 2 diabetes. It was mis quoted almost immediately to focus on hfcs rather than just fructose, and all subsequent focus was aimed at hfcs rather than fructose in general.
But yes, certainly off topic. Which thread are we in again?

Whoa! I agree with CS about something! For years I wondered why Coke and Pepsi didn't taste as good anymore as they did years ago, until I realized that they had stopped using real sugar.

It's divisive.' As for the Coke/Pepsi sugar thing, look for kosher during certain Jewish times. I forget which holiday/tradition it's for, but they produce the colas with real sugar during those times. The packaging looks the same, except for a small mark, I think a 'k,' on the kosher cans.

Just go to a Mexican store, they still use real sugar.
They won't get rid of corn sweetner cuz the guys in those corn growing states sell their votes (senators and congressman). That is also why corn based additives are in gas. |
