Is there a balloon cat out there that doesn't end up looking like a tiger? I want to make more of a house cat, but I got nothing so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah. I make a cat that is sort of like a standard Teddy Bear but with two balls for the muzzle. I think it looks like a cat but kids often ask me why I make them a tiger. I don't quite get it. Doesn't a tiger look like a house cat but bigger? (not counting the coloration.

Now when kids ask for a cat I say OK but my cat kinda looks like a tiger. Then it is no problem but I'd still like to learn a better house cat with one balloon.

Have you made the cat out of the big bear head balloon? They come out looking awesome and they are really big. Not hard to do and a great result.

Where can I find this?

Ralph Dewey's Dewey Bubble Buddies has a one-balloon cat that I've been doing for a long time, and nobody has ever complained that it looks like a tiger. Basically, you twist a small and then a muzzle (a small bird body)and then a bear head. Stick the first bubble you made through the bear head and twist the ears. Then make the body. If I have the time, I will make eyes by twisting two small bubbles right after I do the muzzle. If I don't, I'll draw eyes on as I add artwork. Get Dewey's book or use my instructions, and your cat will be the hit of the day. (Another cat that doesn't look like a tiger can be found on Bunnell's Twisted Critters Volume 1.
