Got this in the mail this morning, got back from work and here are my first impressions. I'm going to come back to this and give it more thought but right now I'm just excited to have finished watching this. It's a great piece of work!
The DVD is very short which is a minor drawback, The contents of the DVD ______________________ Intro & History How to Make the Gimmick Handling Business Card Bonus Goodbye The Gimmick _____________ With the package I was included with one already made gimmick, and honestly the gimmick takes anywhere from 2-5 minutes to setup and then you are ready to go. If you want to give them away as a souvenir (Which YOU SHOULD!!!) you will have to make another gimmick. I'm not a gimmick-maker type guy. I love when gimmicks are already made there for me but this one I would have no problem with. I made my first Extreme Burn gimmick so I think I'm getting to "Gimmick Making Lord" status. Handling __________ The handling for this is fairly easy, a beginner in magic could pull this off with enough practice (just like anything) but it's not knuckle busting at all. What I loved about the handling is that it was easy to follow along with my gimmick in hand and it almost seemed "automatic" in a sense. The first phase- The first phase in any card warp but on crack. You see an instant change of BOTH ends changing. The second phase- One end changes back in a jiffy The third phase- An amazing fusion done in the spectators hands. Bonus You get a bonus to do this with business cards and you are provides with a couple steps to do that as well. I think this should be done with business cards, it's the perfect handout. A pdf is included with a layout that is very easy to follow. I need business cards. What a perfect time to get some! You are left somewhat in the dark on how to get into the effect but as a performer that is up to you and I already have a few ways to get into it This is my initial review, I seriously am in love with this effect. I'll come back for more with performance notes, thanks for looking. |
