I'm curious, for a TT bill switch how many folds do you do on your bill? Have you ever used a different number of folds and if so why which do you prefer.
Take a seat and lets discuss. |

4 folds man, standard folding sequence from John Cornelius' book and Ammar gave me a great tip, that if you over fold the 3rd fold slightly to the right on both bills you'll have a much easier time unfolding and doing the moves with the right fingers. I don't think that's too much info to be taken off here.

I agree with twistedace. IMO less is better in this case.
In December of '06 I was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans. One in a million people worldwide are diagnosed with this type of cancer annually. Sarcomas account for 1% of all cancers. Knowledge is power!

Is there different fold routes that people take. I'd think the normal would be:
1. Left 2. Left 3. up 4. up |

I agree with twistedace, four folds would do it. I don't know what way people fold up my folds are:
1. down 2. front right 3. another front right 4. then down again -Chris

It doesn't look quite right from the audience point of view. 1) Across, left to right 2) Down, top to bottom 3) Across, left to right 4) Down, top to bottom This not only appears natural, but it facilitates the maneuvering of the hidden bill as you open the one in front. Other fold/unfold combinations work against you when trying to get the extra bill in and out of the tip. Cheers, Lance |

This is interesting! I'm wondering if people fold left to right or right to left depending on the hand they favor. I naturally was doing right to left because I'm right handed.
Another item... are people folding such that it shows the denomination on the front or not. |

This means that the folds will actually be executed with the left hand. There are presentations that justify holding one side of the bill or the other toward the audience, but in the absence of all other considerations, holding the portrait side to them is a better picture.
