What's everyone's favorite old 8-bit Nintendo game? It's hard to choose I know, so mark as many as you want.

I'dhave to go with

Zelda 1
Metroid
Kid Icarus

I have to go with BasesLoaded 3 and Mario.... but first choice is the bases loaded 3. And i choose nes as the greatest system.

I agree with you. That is the best system and those games are awesome too. I almost forgot....Castlvania II gets an honorable mention.

All three "first" Zeldas, Duck Hunt (with the gun), and Super Mario 1

No one has mentioned the greatest NES game of them all.

EXCITE BIKE!

In the past 3 days I have played that for 4 hours at least.

FF2 was on SNES! So was 3.

But FF1 was obviously the best game in the world. Getting that airship was the highlight of my life. It has all been downhill since then.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Tecmo Super Bowl yet? That gets my vote.

Mario 2 felt "blah" to me...I don't know why, I need to dig it out and play it again, maybe I'll appriciate it. Mario 3, same deal.

Lifeforce, great sidescrolling spaceship action.

And it was made by Konami (up up down down left right left right B A select start)

In FF1, I always went for the one powerhouse from each field rather than those blends. Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage...that was my team...

psherman, that code you mentioned was also useful with Contra...or is that the same game as Lifeforce, just a different name?
