Just heard from Lotte Hess that Norman Wisdom has passed on.

This is oh so sad, as he was a great supporter of Sideshow,,a hero of mine and a man to respect in the biz.

Along with Arthur Askey and Tommy Cooper who both gave this unknown pushey kid a leg up the ladder in showbiz, by taking me on as a minor support act at a time in my life when I was desperate for all the help I could get.

With the passing of the greats you start to realise that time waits for no man so live for the day !!

Norman was a great performer. I will have to pull out my copy of The Night They Raided Minsky's and watch it again.

It is very sad.

Unknown to him his old movies are one of the things that inspired me to get in to this game. Whilst the other kids watched He-man and Thunder Cats I preferred One Good Turn.

RIP Sir Norman Wisdom.

I head the sad news on the radio. He was certainly one of the best clowns ever! and from what they said on the news he never stopped on screen or off!

He will be missed.
